      Dinner for Schmucks

A bit underwhelming, but had a few laugh out loud bits / 10

Tragic how much better this could've been. The pacing was bad.
Where you captivated to watch this via Marty Scorcese on that American Film Restoration Ad at the beginning of all BluRay films?

btw - I'm going to re-watch the entire AFI 100 Years 100 Movies in their BluRay update. Gonna try and churn this one out in a year (or before Warner2BruceTD finishes his Top 100 wrestlers, whichever comes first). I looked through the list and the last time I saw a lot of them was on VHS (lol).

Think its time for a thorough revisiting of some of the essential films of cinema in their most pristine quality.

To blog about in VSN and MFC or NOT to blog about it on VSN and MFC, that is the question.

lol never seen that before, I got it from these 2 list.

The rankings from the Empire list suck but I can't deny they have a ton of foreign films I never would've heard of if it weren't for it.

Nice spot to find a film whenever I'm looking.

I've actually been doing the same thing right now, minus the BluRay.

In the last month and a half or so I've seen 22 films from AFI's 10 Anniversary list that I haven't seen before. Also some other ones considered classics that aren't on the list. i.e. The Red Shoes

I suggest blogging about it, discussion on movies is always good

I watched Trainspotting on a whim since I haven't seen it for a while and wanted to see if I liked it better than 127 Hours. I am still not sure.

Y Tu Mamá También was very good. Maribel Verdú's performace was great. I haven't seen very many of his performances but just looking at the body of work of Gael García Bernal it seems that he is very underrated and unheralded for the numerous high-quality movies he's in.

I'm not sure how TV was, and how much truth this movie had during the 70's. But now I think it's safe to say this movie has become timeless.

The writer died not too long after the film, lol if he could see TV now.

Whenever somebody says "satire" I think of Dr. Strangelove, so comedy.

For the first 30 mins I kept thinking the jokes were going over my head.

I went into Animal House thinking it was a comedy, and I was wrong too.

I couldn't even figure out when I supposed to laugh at that movie. Legit the most overrated piece of shit of all time.
