I was surprised to see Huckabees wasnt directed by the always awful Wes Anderson, considering the movie was smarmy, goofy, wasn't funny even though I think it was supposed to be, featured a light hearted piano score, and was full of characters with bad haircuts and wardrobes pulled from a Goodwill bin.

Saw Django Unchained a few days ago. Loved every single second of it. We got to the showing which started at 9:45pm and we didn't leave the theater unitl 1:30am when it finished. Long fucking movie but worth the time. We decided to sneak into the 1:50am showing afterwards. One of Tarantino's best films.

Saw Django, holy fuck that movie had me from start to finish. Leo played a great roll as well as Samuel L Jackson. Amazing how much i can hate one guy in a movie. But nothing beats the comedy in this movie from Christopher Waltz.

Bernie - Jack Black's phenomenal here in a dark comedy (based on a legit murder), he nailed the real Bernie Tiede's accent perfectly.

I'll have to watch 'Bernie' soon, Ive heard nothing but good things

I watched 'Looper' yesterday, I give it a 3/5, decent movie but I don't understand why it has a 94% on rotten tomatoes.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - It is so ridiculously bad, but its supposed to be ridiculously bad, I mean, its about Abraham Lincoln as a Vampire Hunter for Christ's Sake...I have no idea what to make of it. I wasn't necessarily entertained by it either, FWIW.

Pretty solid. And while I'm not sure I like the stylistic choice of going with spliced camera footage, it didn't detract from my enjoyment level.
My only issue stylistically was that half way through the movie, it changes. I know they gave a half assed excuse for why the cameras are located in "just the right spots" at that point...but it was strange to see them change it up half way through the flick.

It took itself too seriously, though. I hated it.

The book takes a very historical approach to this story...its weird, and while I get it, I don't think that it translates well to screen at all. It is supposed to take itself seriously. In a weird way, by taking itself seriously, they weren't taking themselves seriously.

Iron Sky - Movie this terrible had no business having effects as good as it did

The Imposter - Really interesting but was over-dramatized at times which always makes me like documentaries a bit less

Jiro Dreams of Sushi - I've never even had sushi but it was just really, really well made. I can dig it.

War of the Arrows - meh
