    Confusion on my part:

They connected the first one with the third one, but really left out the second beyond the Harvey Dent angle. No discussion of the Joker at all. Is this largely due to Heath Ledger's death? And if so, does that open it up for a 4th movie with the new Robin?
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

I have some mixed feelings about the film.

At one point I was like "shit, is michael bay directing this film" when they started doing the White House stuff, and the President, and to me, it just kind of took me out of the Batman world and into the real world if that makes sense.

Then there was just times when it seemed like it was all thrown together. It also didn't have that darkness that TDK had which I liked. I don't know, I'm just not sure yet if I love it 100%. It was good, but I think I'd rather see TDK again if I had to pick one over the other. Maybe another viewing where the fucking sound doesn't go off twice would make things better. Hard to sit through a movie when it happens and you are steaming from it.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

      "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

I thought I would be slick by watching the movie at 9:30AM this morning and not having to deal with crowds. I was wrong, the theatre was packed, but people were quiet so it wasn't a big deal. Anyways...

I haven't seen Batman Begins nor do I know much about the Batman comic book universe so there were some parts that I didn't fully understand (my brother filled me on the details when it was over, though). That didn't bother me, but I feel like such a dumbass for this: when that lady said she liked JGL's name "Robin" I thought to myself "hmm, that's a weird name for a guy, I could see why he would just go by 'Rob' or something.." and just a few hours ago I realized what it truly meant. Don't know how that slipped my mind lol

Nolan left Joker completely out of the movie in respect to Heath Ledger.
            Nolan isn't doing a 4th movie.

Nowhere near as good as TDK. I didn't know anything about the comics so the Talia twist was the only thing I found unpredictable. Dialogue sucked at times. Seemed like it was an overdone Michael Bay movie during parts. Wish we could have seen more Batman too. All we saw was a MJ on the Wizards version until the end.

Still a great movie tho. DKR was not as "dark" as its predecessor either. Wish we could have found out what happened to the Joker. They could have at least talked about what happened to him. When they released the prisoners, he just wasn't there? Whatever.

              7.5/10

TDK was an 11/10 because of Heath Ledger alone.

The Joker would be in Arkham not Blackgate.

They've done a bad job of keeping him penned up

When they released Blackgate, I was hoping to see a couple of minor Batman villains as 'easter eggs.' Figured there might be someone like Zsasz in there. No dice, at least on my end

He's been free since the end of Batman Begins.

                          Amirite?

Got re-arrested by Batman at the beginning of the Dark Knight during the drug deal with the dogs and fake Batmen

                                Dan. Don't remember that.

                                Thanks!
