Im sure Spiderman would put out better movies with Marvel studios but people trashing the franchise are pretty annoying. The first two were great , the second is still is considered a benchmark. The reboot was well done and the sequel pretty good as well. Toby and Garfield had different takes on it but were both ideal and great fits for the role. Maybe something happened to the CB franchise in the last 20 years but Spiderman was always a campy comic with some pretty corny looking villains. Venom is pretty much the only bad ass nemesis he has but is also damn near impossible to explain the origin without getting way out of the universe(literally). The only reason Im in favor is because it makes the Marvel universe larger and Spidey has always been better in crossovers. I have nothing against the Spidey franchise other than Pt3..blegh.

Robert Downey Jr. to Join ‘Captain America 3′
Robert Downey Jr. is on the verge of signing on to “Captain America 3,” a move that would bring the Civil War storyline from Marvel’s comicbooks to the bigscreen and trigger the start of a new phase of movies from Marvel Studios.
The actor is in final negotiations to play billionaire Tony Stark in the third installment, which is slated to begin production in the Spring for a May 6, 2016 release. Looks like Benedict Cumberbatch could very well be playing Dr. Strange.
Originally posted by DeadlineEXCLUSIVE: Marvel has finally found its Doctor Strange. I’m hearing Benedict Cumberbatch is the studio’s choice for the superhero pic, and negotiations are about to begin. The news comes after talks with Joaquin Phoenix around the time of Comic-Con went south, and Marvel went back to the drawing board. With names like Jared Leto and Tom Hardy also in the mix, this is obviously a coveted role. I expect this deal to make.
Cumberbatch is in the Oscar hunt this year for The Imitation Game, the Alan Turing biopic that the Weinstein Co is priming for a November 21 release. His hot streak has included winning the Emmy for playing Sherlock Holmes on the BBC/PBS hit Sherlock.
Phoenix never had a deal, and Marvel quickly got into it with other actors to play Doctor Strange in a free-standing film.Comment

Was watching the live blog from the event where they announced all of this. Holy fucking shit!!! Also they announced that Chadwick Boseman will be playing Black Panther and he will first show up (in costume and everything) in Captain America: Civil War. I think he'll be perfect for T'Challa.
Now hurry up and lock Cumberbatch down to a 4 movie deal so I can proceed with my nerdgasm.Comment

Thor: Ragnarok -
On stage at Marvel's event, Feige confirmed that in this context Ragnarok means "The end of all things." The movie was also called out as the "key film" of Phase Three, and that it starts right after Avengers: Age of Ultron.Last edited by Swarley; 10-28-2014, 04:49 PM.Comment

That's interesting that it takes place right after Ultron. I'm assuming it won't take place on earth then at all. They could use Ragnarok as an excuse why Thor won't show up for Civil War. Civil War will have to happen entirely because of the events of Age of Ultron. But I can see how Guardians 2 and Doctor Strange could be happening on their own. But Civil War would have to effect both movies in some way. Maybe Stephen Strange doesn't get his powers and stuff until after the events of Civil War? Maybe Iron Man ditches Earth altogether and rolls with the Guardians after Civil War??? THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!!!!!!Comment
