For some reason I'm the opposite DJ. This game, although I thought it would be killing me, doesn't have me super worried. I feel good about the Phils tonight, yet I'm TERRIFIED if it were to go to 7.

I'm terrified of tonight, and would have all the confidence in the world in Game 7 if we get there.

I don't know why I feel good about tonight (I refuse to use words like "confidence" since I'm not playing on the field), but it just feels like game 1 did to me, where I think the Phils have a great shot. Game 7 with God only knows who at the mound against CC, tired or no, scares me a lot.

But I don't even really LIKE talking about Game 7 until Game 6 is over with and the Phils have forced one.

Mets fan here, hating this series to pieces. I'm not even a Yankee hater but I can't stand their fanbase (they've been somewhat tolerable without winnning in 8 years).

I dislike the Phils for obvious reasons but part of me thinks, let them win another....then lose to the Mets next year. But that doesn't make much sense, does it?

I hear you. Game 6 has to be won first. For me, I feel the toughest part is battling back to force a Game 7, because the pressure is still on us. If we do force a Game 7, then the pressure shifts to the Yankees IMO because they don't want to go down as only the 3rd team to ever blow a 3-1 series lead.

Like you said, our pitching would be up in the air for Game 7, but we can worry about that if we get to that point.

Honestly, if I were a Mets fan, I just wouldn't watch. Why would you? What possible joy could you get out of it? If the Yanks win, the douchebag Yankee fans that had backed off a little will come thundering out. As for Phils fans, well...I'm sure you saw this season what it was like. Or any season really. But Phils fans have a WS under their belt could not have helped matters.

I hear you, but I guess we have different reasons....because of what happened in 04 against the Red Sox, us choking away that 3-0 lead, I'm a lil apprehensive.......we lost games 6 & 7 at home that year.....we lose game 6, I know the team will be thinking about 04......it's only human nature.....and the core Yankees from 04 are still on the team

Regardless, I love our chances in Game 7 with CC on the mound against whoever on short rest. Dude's a horse and we should win that one.

But I think we can win tonight if we can get to that soft underbelly that is the Phils' bullpen.

And pretty much the reverse is true too (sans Rivera). This is a battle of two questionable bullpens.

Jesus just thinking about just about anyone from our bullpen strutting out there terrifies. Saying "Madson" out loud makes my blood pressure spike.
