Damn I knew I should have played the no-hitter prop bet!

Anytime a dominant pitcher has a solid day and is given a large strike zone (although it was fairly called on both sides), you can expect a solid outing. Roy just had that little something special to make it a no-hitter.

BTW, am I the only one who thinks no-hitters are going to be even more common next year? This is getting crazy how many we had this regular season only to top it off with one in the playoffs.

Why would they become ever more commonplace in 2011?

Hitters have consistently looked worse and worse since the drug testing has gone into place. I'm not saying they were the only ones taking PEDs ***cough CLEMENS cough***, but this season was crazy. It had the most no-hitters through 7 innings since 1969.

I am still in disbelief..........I don't even know what to call that KO pitch he threw to Rolen. It looked like a freaky slider-cutter combo........crazy movement on this pitches last night.

I watch him go through the 3rd inning, and I am like "Shit this guy is going to cruise tonight" Then got sad because of the walk, but the anticipation in the 9th was crazy.

              Unbelievable.

Yeah. After the first inning, I was happy he didn't show any signs of nerves or jitters (I didn't think he would, but it was still in the back of my mind).

After the 3rd inning, I knew he had his good stuff and that he would give us a great start.

Once he walked a batter in the 5th, it was just a matter of seeing how far he could go with the no hitter. After the 7th, I said to myself that he was going to do it. And then I was bitter thinking about how I've been to Game 1 of the NLDS the last 3 years, but didn't get them this year. Oh well. Can't be at all the special games, haha.

Reds need to comeback strong or it's going to be a sweep IMO

In the 4th inning I wondered if there had ever been a play-off no hitter, but I figured it probably wouldn't happen.....wrong haha.

There's been a perfect game in the WS.

Fun Fact: For both of Doc's no hitters this year, Polly's been out of the lineup.....hmmm...lol.

The Braves are beat up, exhausted, and nearly blew their spot against a Philly team that didn't even give a shit the last series. The Yankees, Twins, and Rays limped into the playoffs playing meh baseball, and SF nearly blew the division the last weekend.

The Reds have been feeling good since the Bruce HR.

But yeah, for this team to be two years ahead of schedule, with all of these great looking young players, anything we do beyond this point is gravy. We have a SP staff built for the regular season, the deepest in the NL. But we have no ace, and we have to face teams with 2 or even 3. It'll be tough.
against teams playing deep in thier 40 man rosters cause the are out of it

In hindsight, should have started Wood, who gives the Phillies fits.
yep i was dumbfounded by decision to not start Wood

When's the last time a Phillies player had a profile article in the NY Times!?
