McClouth yet another scrap heap acquisition who is playing for the Orioles. Duquette's done a great job with this roster.

Big win for the O's, not sure what Maddon was thinking in that game. Blew two opportunities to have a better match up at the plate. Molina with the bases loaded in the 6th, and Francisco vs O' day in the 7th. Leaving 2 decent left handed bats on the bench doesn't make any sense in those scenarios. Alex Cobb is in that Brian Matusz mold, they won't work out in the AL East. Chen should dominate tomorrow, Rays put 5 on him early when I saw him earlier this year but shut them down after settling in.

It's amazing to sit here on September 13th and know that the 14 years of losing is officially over, and the future is bright, even if they don't hang on to make the playoffs this year. Jones, Wieters, Machado, Markakis, Bundy, etc, leading the way, not to mention the fact that now that the Orioles aren't going to be looked at as a perennial doormat, we should be able to actually lure a quality FA or two here.

It's a great day, that much is for sure. Hoping for playoffs but you are right, we've already accomplished more than anyone thought heading into the season. I thought .500 was a possibility, but not likely, but they've blown past my expectations.

1 of 2 from Oakland, I'll be happy if we can end up taking 2 from Seattle while we are up there. Clinched our first winning season with the win today, which was a foregone conclusion at some point. Little worried about Boston trying to play spoiler at the end of the week though.

Next up is Boston, who may be motivated to play spoiler against the Orioles. Great series against the Mariners and the arms get a much-needed day off today after all of the extras played. Also, great start from Saunders yesterday, shame he didn't get the win.

Assuming they do make the WC game, who starts that game? I think you can throw out Saunders and Britton, which would leave Gonzalez, Chen, and Tillman. Chen has been struggling recently so I'm going to throw him out too, which leaves Gonzalez and Tillman...both of whom have been pretty good. I think I'd go with Gonzalez.
