            A. They are not my friends, I just got invited to join that group by a mutual friend and enjoy the easy ing

            B. Anytime I have the audacity to refute their incorrect statements with factual evidence anybody could find in 2 seconds on the internet, that is how they react. Normally it's "Oh, well aren't you just a walking enyclopedia mister?!?! Good for you buddy!" I suspect he went with the phrase "baseball bible" this time because I recently linked everyone to the Fielding Bible voting results when they were all bashing Jason Heyward's defense. But yeah pretty much anytime I refute idiotic statements such as this, I am met with similar reactions.

Well aren't you just a google bible?!?

That groups seems like the guys that post at CCS. They say something not based on any fact at all, your refute it, then they get pissy with you over it because they are allowed to have "opinions" and it's a debate so they can say whatever the want.

Pretty much. It's pretty infuriating because I enjoy discussing baseball with people and it makes it really hard to do so when you're dealing with people who not only do not agree with you on certain irrefutable things, but then REFUSE to acknowledge they were wrong after you provide concrete factual evidence telling them otherwise.

Last year one of them said" "Heyward was only good in the first half of his rookie year. He struck out way too much in the second half that season" ... I posted his 2010 monthly splits which showed that his K rate decreased every month, and they followed with: "I use my eyes, not numbers. Agree to disagree."

They are also convinced Heyward never gets on base and Freeman has a much better plate approach, even though all statistical data ever says the complete opposite. It's like bizarro land with these guys. I'll post more convos as the season progresses. They usually make 10-12 bad baseball statements a day so the challenge will be choosing which ones not to share with you guys, LOL.

                      Two things.

                      2. Hey Fed, here is one for you..about Luis Aparicio

Aparicio had a career .653 OPS, and an 82 OPS+...how he is in the Hall of Fame I don't know.
My point is that he shouldn't be in the HOF with an 82 OPS+

"You know a guy is really locked in when he goes the other way"

What does this even mean? How is a guy locked in when he's hitting soft singles to the opposite field? Locked in is crushing the ball. Locked in is extra base hits and home runs.
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

"Joey Votto's legacy will be tarnished by playing so many games in Great American Ballpark."

-Braves announcer Joe Simpson, who apparently is still salty over a four game sweep in May that nobody will remember or care about in 6 months, and who obviously has never looked at home/road splits for the player he's ripping (.938 OPS home, .977 OPS away, higher batting average, on base, and slugging on the road, 21 more extra base hits on the road).

That ballpark is a joke, but I love Votto and would never question his numbers. And Joe Simpson is a good guy, but he says a lot of things I disagree with.
