Mark Sheldon says that when Votto returns, after talking to Dusty, expect Frazier to head to the bench...BUT...he will play nearly every day. Two days per week at 3B, plus spot starts in LF, plus he will play 1B when Votto takes a day, and even 2B & SS when Phillips & Cozart sit. Also, there will be days when Dusty will play Bruce in CF and Frazier will play in right.

He'll play everywhere but CF & C.

Dusty reiterated that point today. A lineup with Bruce in CF and Frazier in RF gives us a crazy offensive lineup. Also, Dusty hinted at Phillips going to leadoff once Joey is back. That gives us a potential lineup of Phillips Cozart/Hanigan Votto Ludwick Bruce Frazier Rolen Hanigan/Cozart.

That would be something else.

Also, Votto playing 2 games at Class A Dayton on Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm going to have to go to one of those games.

So Votto will go to Dayton for two days (28 & 29), then what? Are they really going to send down Xavier Paul on the 30th? That would mean he can't come back for ten days. But they will almost surely bring back Mesoraco on the 1st, meaning Navarro could be the LH PH for a few days. Or maybe they send down Hoover, and go with 6 RP's for two days, until they can call up Ondrusek and bring Brey back from the DL. I assume Redmond will be back on the 1st, too.

Should be an interesting couple of days for roster moves.

Joey is playing again for the Dragons tonight...meaning we won't see him in Houston this weekend. Monday they are home vs the Phillies...He should return then. Only problem is were gunna be gettin that Hurricane Isaac rain so I dont even know if they will be able to play.
