How would that be suspendable under the same PED rules as a positive test administered by MLB? That seems really silly.Comment

I agree with that partly. If it is blatant that a player (such as Arod) purchased these banned substances, then I think a suspension is in order. If you are just linked, there's no reason to suspend (as is the case for Gio right now). I'd have to see the actual rules for it to know for sure, though I'm not about to look them up now since I've got shit to do.Comment

Again though, and this shows just how shitty MLB's testing system is, who cares if you bought it? Then you have that trickle down of Gio Gonzalez saying "WELL I GOT IT FOR MY DAD!"
Unless they test positive, I don't see how you can suspend them. Sends a really stupid/weird precedent.Comment

Okay, here's the answer you're looking for.
It's called a non-analytical positive. Rick Ankiel was once suspended under that clause. Jordan Schafer was suspended a few years back despite not failing a drug test.
Essentially, if there's evidence involving a player and banned substances but no actual failed piss or blood test, MLB can still issue punishments.

Where is the full list of 14 players?
This reminds me of the Mitchell Report, when everybody was like "Haha, Alex Sanchez, who cares steroids must not work, amirite?"
Why are they only reporting half the story, here?Comment

Well, it seems like these accused players must be hoping that there's no evidence of delivered UPS/FedEx packages or signatures or transferred money.
If there's none of that and just the records of the scummy supplier, is that enough?
If you're the Yankees...is this a mini miracle if it turns out to be true in ARod's case? Gotta imagine they're having their attorneys look at his contract with the thought of voiding it on their mind.

No Halos.. Nice to see my favorite team keeping it natural.
(Nevermind that the 2002 WS team was 100% powered by Winstrol)

FFS, then you read shit like this and are led to believe this is just the beginning.
As the Daily News first reported Saturday, federal investigators from the DEA and Florida, as well as MLB’s Department of Investigations, have been probing the link between Bosch and the Yankees’ third baseman, and as many as 20 other active players, for several months. According to sources, federal agents have already interview Bosch.
“It’s the tip of the iceberg,” said one law enforcement source.

I, for one, am shocked, SHOCKED, that players are still casually cheating and beating the system. I thought the game was clean!Comment
