    The Best Pitcher In Baseball?

    Who would you say is the best and most skilled pitcher in the MLB now.

    I would say Johan Santana although many disagree.

    Roy Halladay or Johan Santana.

    Roy Halladay is a work horse and any manager would love to have this guy on there team.

    Johan Santana is just dominant.

    Zach Greinke could also have a mention if he can keep up with the way he has been pitching but still hasnt proved enough yet.

      Greinke is way too inconsistent. I remember a couple of years ago he had a great start of to the season as well and he later fell apart. Last season Greinke we no where to be heard of.

      Yeah Halladay is a great workhorse and he can really burn innings. Skill wise I feel Johan is still just a bit better and I'd rather have him on my team.

          Tim Lincecum is a complete player, he just needs some more polish.

            Tim Linecum will most likely be the future #1 pitcher of the MLB but as of now he is still too young.

                Even as a Yankee fan I will admit that Johan Santana is probably the best pitcher in baseball. Greinke is ahead of him atm in stats, but that definitely won't hold up.

                  Santana is the best. Greinke is of to a nice start this year, but Santana has been doing it for years, so I have to give the nod to him.

                      Johan, he lost his last game without giving up any earned runs, and lost a game earlier in the year against the Marlins without giving up an earned run and striking out 13. So if Johan got the run support he would be 6-0 this year with a 0.78 ERA and 60 K's. I feel that he is the most dominant, consistent pitcher in baseball. Next is Roy Halladay, when he is on the mound this year you can expect 8 innings pitched and a low amount of runs to be allowed. This year he is 7-1, and already pitched 61 innings. Not only is he a work horse, but he gets the job done. Lastly, if Grienke can stay consistent this year then he will win the AL Cy Young, he is pitching out of this world right now, but can he keep it going all year, especially with playing for the Royals.

                        Yeah, Santana's only problem is he plays for the Mets. They do not like to score runs for him.

                          Santana's problem is that the opposition always throws their #1 against him. Just goes along with your point.

                          Santana = #1 by a long shot.

                            Greinke was an up and comer for a while there, but I think I need to see him do it longer and more consistently before I say he's #1.

                            Right now, it's Johan followed by Halladay.
