Duke played great tonight, but it was Western Michigan.
One thing we should take away from this game is Quinn mothafucking Cook.
This kid deserves major minutes especially when we get into ACC play and we play guards who are worth a shit.
Curry is a great spot up shooter but terrible PG...he's better off ball...he can't get by his guy.
Thornton is a good backup who can provide scrappy play but he's not a PG I'd trust.
Cook can pass, can score...sets up his teammates well.
The other option would be Rivers but I'd rather him be the other guard.Originally posted by Nick MangoldWes Welker is a great player. He's really taken advantage of watching film. If we don't keep a Spy on him, he could really open the Gate.Comment

William Buford: Blowing big games since 2008. That's just like the Kentucky game last year, this dude takes a 3 when he's got multiple guys on him when we just need 2... and this time there was a good amount of time left on the clock too.
Indiana's a good team though, I'm not going to get too upset about a road loss to them.Comment

Let's take a look at Pitt.
11-4, 0-2 in the Big East.
Losses to Long Beach St, Wagner, & Cincy at home, and ND on the road.
Their "best" wins are @ TENN (6-6), vs. Okie St (7-6), two traditional powers who are very mediocre this year. In actuality, their real best win might end up being Robert Morris (10-4), although I think TENN & Okie St would beat RMU (sorry Woy). They squeaked past mighty Rider, and LaSalle.
In summary: three straight losses, winless in the Big East, not a single good win, and after DePaul & Rutgers (fiesty teams) the next three games are @SYR, @MARQ, and vs Louisville.
Pitt will be a bubble team, and they desperately need some wins over Syracuse, Marquette, UConn, Georgetown, Louisville, etc or the resume is going to look like poop.Comment

Big game on Wed. night as #22 K-State opens up Big 12 play on the road at #15 Kansas.
This is one of the least impressive Kansas teams I've seen in years...so this is a chance for K-State to steal a rare road win at The Phog.
The Cats would do well to pick up a win at KU, as their conference slate does not get any easier with back-to-back home games against Missouri and Baylor.
Brutal opening stretch of conference play. We'll see if K-State is for real.Comment

Robert Morris 70, Ohio 67
HUGE win for the Colonials, against a fringe top 25 team on their home court. RMU played sloppy with 30+ turnovers but shot over 60% from the field. I think this makes three straight over the Bobcats, with another match-up to come next season @ RMU. Both teams only lose one senior so that'll be a great game as well.
Velton Jones led RMU with 17 before fouling out late, out-playing his counterpart DJ Cooper. Archer and Rudi can eat some crow for not believing me when I said we'd win.
The Colonials end conference play with an 11-4 record; best in program history. All NEC games from here on out now, starting with an away game at Bryant.
