I can't believe the Knicks are close to signing Rasheed Wallace - actually it's a typical dumbass Knick move. Just what NY needs, another old-ass player who'll do nothing but jack up threes.

This is why I'm always ticked off with this franchise. They'll never win shit with this current regime/owner, NEVER.

If we can't beat the elite teams, maybe we can just play 90's ball and take their heads off.

Whatever happens for the rest of the season, playoffs or not, all of my expectations revolve around crushing the Nets on opening night.

It will make the sourness of April a little easier to take.

Wallace could be a good pick up off the bench. STAT is often injured. Wallace just needs to be in shape. Look at KG. Dudes are the same age.

Wallace officially signed today and the Knicks now have the oldest foster of all-time.

Lakers add Steve Nash & Dwight Howard, Heat add Ray Allen, Nets add Joe Johnson - Knicks add the AARP Gang.....oy vay. Yeah , they're ready to take down Miami & Boston.

I really don't want to hear these fools talking championship - how about Carmelo & Amar'e developing some fucking chemistry first.

                    Excerpts from this ESPN piece...

In ESPN The Magazine's NBA Preview, Tim Keown writes that Knicks star Carmelo Anthony is a master at getting exactly what he wants. But entering his 10th season, does he understand what he needs?

William Wesley informed New York Knicks' owner James Dolan that Carmelo Anthony was unhappy with the direction of the team under Mike D'Antonio shortly before he stepped down as head coach, according to a source.

A source says Dolan was easily swayed by Wesley.

When Anthony returned from injury in mid-February, the Knicks had been transformed due to the emergence of Jeremy Lin.

"Lin was getting what Carmelo was promised," says a source close to the Knicks. "And Carmelo thought D'Antoni was going to favor Jeremy, so he had to get D'Antoni out of there.

"It works out perfect for Carmelo. There's little if any of his DNA on there."

Anthony has played his best basketball during Team USA games where he could take a secondary role and focus on scoring. But Anthony couldn't see himself sharing lead time with a Lin.

"He's not an alpha dog. He might think he is, but he's not," says a source close to the Knicks. "He needs to be around someone who is feared, someone who could tell him what to do. He just couldn't see Jeremy Lin that way. He could see Kobe and LeBron that way in the Olympics, sure, but not Jeremy Lin. Carmelo's whole thing is perception."

Anthony rebelled against D'Antoni's offense with the Knicks, but the former coach largely orchestrated Team USA's offense.

"It's the ultimate irony of this whole thing," the source says. "Carmelo was at his best and most efficient running that offense. It couldn't be more obvious to him, and he couldn't be more oblivious to it."
Nothing we didn't already know, but more in line with the general consensus that Melo is not a capable of being THE guy on a team and winning.

As poorly this team is constructed, I'm saying 3rd in the East. We can, hypothetically, win the Atlantic Division this year. I think the 8th spot will be fought over for, with the top 7 being guaranteed barring injuries.

Heat, Pacers, Knicks, Bulls, 76ers, Celtics, Nets

Every time I have high expectations for the Knicks, they fuck up. I'm going with them as 5 or 6 in the east. I want to see our 'stars' walk the walk before I start thinking this team can make some noise.

I wasn't happy hearing J.R. moaning about not starting - fucking knucklehead.

Amare out 2-3 weeks with I think is an ankle injury.

With the Knicks I'm the same way. I wouldn't be surprised to see them finish anywhere from 2nd-7th....with this team you just never know.
