I think he took 6 long twos in the 1st quarter. I've never seen anything like it. I read in SI I think last year that he was done shooting threes and was going work more on his inside game. I guess his inside game is shooting with his heels on the three point line.

Pretty much. The fucked up part is he's so good at dribbling, finishing inside, rebounding, defending and passing that if he'd stop taking those six to eight long jumpers a game he'd be one of the best all around players in the NBA.

        Just too stubborn.

I agree with all commentary on Griffin needin to improve his mid-range and FT shooting. I usually cringe when he pulls up to take those shots. The whole team still has a feeling of rawness. They show flashes of greatness here and there so that's always something to be excited for.

One of the biggest improvements from this year to last year is how the 2nd unit does. Last season, once the starters left the floor it was ugly. The Clippers would just get blown out. Now, with Mo looking amazing when comes off the bench, Reggie Evans being a bruiser down low, Foye hitting tough shots, and even Brian Cook looking half-decent --especially on defense -- the team looks like it has nowhere to go but up. Trey Thompkins has been great as a rookie as well. Eric Bledsoe should be back this February so that's another thing to get excited about for the Clippers 2nd team.

I wonder if a coaching upgrade could get this team to gel better and play smarter.

Well I for one can guarantee a coaching upgrade (which is hiring anyone who has ever been a coach ever) would help them tremendously.

Wow, reading between the lines of these quotes I'd expect either Smoove or Drew to be gone by the end of the year. Hoping it's Drew, and given that this is the NBA, it probably will be.
“It got tough for us in the third quarter and we quit,” said Drew, who was visibly upset after meeting with his players and assistant coaches. “That’s what happened.”
“Everybody is entitled to their opinion,” Hawks forward Josh Smith said. “If he felt that way, that’s his opinion. I just felt we got a little careless with the basketball.

“In times of adversity, everybody has to stick together. Everybody — players and everybody — and keep everything positive. The slightest thing can deter a situation or an individual.”

Probably true. The only reason I would think otherwise is that our roster situation. Trading Smith has long been the only possible move this team has available, or will have available for the next two years. If there is a need to "shake things up" roster-wise, then management has already considered the idea before. All Smith needs to do is give them a reason.

But yeah, hopefully it's LD. He's not a great coach to begin with.

Hopefully Wades out for tonights game, so Miami can end this whole 76ers hype.

                        Trade Smith for Boozer.

I think this trade would be worth it for both sides, Atlanta's not riddled with Johnson's contract, and they get a low post presence back.

Damn, Carlisle is benching Dirk for the next 4 games so we can work on his conditioning.

Hopefully Wade is out for the next game, so Miami can take it to the Bucks.

LeBron with 4 steals and 3 blocks for the 2nd straight games. The guy literally does everything.

Absolutely dominated the 4th quarter tonight too. 12 points, 4 rebounds.
