    1. With this deal, the line between the Haves and the Have Nots in the NBA is more pronounced.

    2. This deal is a big blow to the Mavs. No way do they get Chris Paul if they don't have Howard.

    3. I don't believe Howard when he says he won't re-sign with LA in 2013. Why would he want to leave LA?

To my knowledge dwight never said he wouldn't resign with la. He said he wouldn't sign an extension until after the season. This much was obvious cause he can get $25 million more by waiting till the off season

He's just trying to get more money. Lakers still can present him with the biggest package but as Argath said, he gets $25 million more by saying he wants to "test free agency".

Have you even looked at Brooklyns roster?

You added one possibly great player but you also subtracted your top scorer. Let's not act like bynum is gonna push the 76ers to a 2 seed when the man hasn't even played well without 2 all stars next to him
          Brooklyn LMAO...........

Their 2nd unit consists of of Reggie Evans and Jerry Stackhouse..........I think that says it all. They have some nice starters but thats were it ends.....The 76ers bench would wear their asses out without sneakers on lol.

Our top scorer LOU Williams couldn't play defense to save his life and Iggy was poor at the line which killed us last year.

That what defines NBA championship teams, depth.

Who was the Heat's second unit?

Yea because the past nba champion had a ton of depth. Depth doesn't mean much when your starter can play 35 to 40 minutes a night

Again explain to me how philly has a team that will make it a 2 or 3 seed? You just admitted your leading scorer is gone and iggy may haven't been stellar at the line but he was a force that will be hard to replace. You upgraded at center and no where else. Phillys record will be better solely because the east is weaker. No way jrue is gonna be able to compete with Deron Williams and as I said before bynum has a lot to prove. Nick young, while a talented scorer, is the most inconsistent player in the nba as philly fans will soon learn. Hes also a huge liability in defense

Depth is completely overrated in the NBA in comparison to star power. As long as you have enough stars that you don't have them all sit at the same time and have someone to start the offense even if people are sitting, you are fine. NBA refs are scared to actually foul out a big name player unless they do something really stupid.

True why even have a bench just play your starters the whole game all season which is 82 games and play them all playoffs long until the finals and then play them all throughout the Finals they won't get tired or hurt or anything.

I don't think anyone is saying you don't need a bench at all but that the nba bench these days has a much more minimal impact than it has in the past mostly because of the amount of stars that gather on teams now.

No you are just devaluing the impact of role players.

Because the heats role players were better than okc role players? Or the pacers role players?

The fact remains. Phillys role players are no where near strong enough to push it to a 2 seed

You think Shane Battier,Mike Miller(when he gets hot), Udonis Haslem, and Norris Cole are worse then what the Thunder or Pacers had?

Thunder depth and role players >>>>>>>>>>>> Heat depth and role players

Its not even close, imo. The reason the Thunder lost was because one of their stars didn't perform up to expectations.
