    End of the year awards.

I did this last year around this time,so here we go again.I'm gonna hand out the hardware for the year, put in your input and feel free to make changes.

    MVP:

You may say that there offense is a pass only offense.Yes Edgerrin James hasnt played well this year.Yes Tim Hightower is highly overrated, but in the end you cant argue the facts he has put up 4,000+ passing yards and took a team from 8-8 to a team that has guaranteed themselves a playoff spot.

    Runner Up: Drew Brees

    Best QB:

How can I choose different player for MVP and Best QB.Simple its best QB not Most Valuable.Sure both of these players are very valuable, but Kurt Warner i fell had a bigger impact especially seeing what his team did the past few years. Now to Brees,he looks like he's on track to break the NFL record for passing yards in a season. He has the Saints in the playoff race even with injuries at Running Back and a mediocre receiving core.

    Runner Up: Kurt Warner

    Best RB:

What more is there to say about the 2nd year running back.He has ran the ball better than anyone has in there first 2yrs for 20yrs.He is 1 of the two main reasons that the Vikings are leading the NFL North. He has ran as good or better than last year and dosent look like he's wearing out yet.

    Runner Up: Clinton Portis

    Best WR:

Johnson is second in the NFL in receiving despite having 2 different QB's throwing to him this year. He's a big receiver, great route runner, and great catcher.Without him the Texans are no where close to where they are at this moment.

    Runner Up: Roddy White

    Best Defensive Player:

Harrison is one of the big reasons that the Steerlers have resurged this year.Along with Lamar Wooldey they have combined for 26.5 sacks and have the Steerlers in prime form for the playoffs.Harrison and the defense had to step up because the offense hasnt been on track to much this year.

    Runner Up: Albert Hansworth

    Rookie Of The Year:

A hard choice between him and Forte, maybe my Packer bias comes into play here but who knows. The fact remains that this rookie has made a huge impact on the Falcons season and on the future of the NFL.He also has the Falcons in the playoff hunt,on my list for MVP's but he would have won if his team had a better record.

    Runner Up: Matt Forte

    Surprise Of The Year:

Forte clinches it here for the simple fact that he was the Bears offense.Being both a teams leading receiver and rusher is hard for anyone especially a rookie. He is a good player but if the Bears dont take some carries away they will wear him out to early.

    Runner Up: Deangelo Williams

    Surprise Team:

Who in the world expected a 1-15 team to jolt ahead into a 3 way tie for there division.great management and coaching have made the Dolphins the Cinderella of the year.

    Runner Up: Tennessee Titans

    Flop Player:

The Chargers whole offensive line qualifies here. They are a huge reason the Chargers are 5-8 on the season. They cannot block enough for there star running back to run, this leads to a lot of passing and an unbalanced offensive attack.

    Runner Up: Marc Bulger/Devin Hester

    Flop Team:

See above. The only thing that saved the Bengals from getting this award was injuries.

    Runner Up: Cincinnati Bengals

    Underrated:

Nobody talks about this man, although he is in the top 5 WR in the NFL.See WR above.

    Runner Up: Robert Mathis

    Overrated:

Not running well the past few years, dosent hit the whole with any explosiveness.

    Runner Up: Matt Cassel

Upcoming Free Agent Set To Make Money:

    Pierre Thomas
He wont make as much money as Cassel but i think he is better.Carried the load for the Saints even though Duece Mcalister returned and Reggie Bush were there for most of the season.

    Runner Up: Matt Cassel

Not trying to be a homer but Boldin may be the top WR this year. He is leading the league in touchdowns with 11. I may put Brees over Warner. Everything else seems very accurate.

Thanks,Boldin did cross my mind, but i feel Andre Johnson made a bigger splash, especially if you consider the fact that the Texans also ran the ball, while the Cardinals passed it alot.

a littel early to hand out the hardware, the season still aint over. Favre or Brees have a legit shot at the mvp still.

Fitzgerald is playing just as well as Boldin.I dont think Farve is close to the MVP,he hast played his best year this year. Also his team has slipped to much for consideration.I believe the leading canidates are.

            In no particular order.

            Kurt Warner
            Drew Brees
            Matt Ryan
            Andrian Peterson
            Clinton Portis
            Michael Turner

favre is a canidate, that team was 4-12 last year and he may just lead them to a division title.

Last year was a MVP season for Favre, this year he is on track ot throw less TD's and more INT's than last year. This year he is just another good quarterback in the NFL,nothing that warrants a MVP trophy.Especially considering that they had that divison but lost there last 2 games.

Im not saying Calvin is the best, but Hes had 4 diffrent Qbs throw to him, None of them good. No WR on the other side to be a threat all year, and no running for defense respect, yet hes top 5 in all reciveing catigories. Is the best deep threat in the game and all of this when the Lions only throw him the ball 7-8 times a game

Johnson is good but not the best deep threat,Steve Smith,Randy Moss, then maybe Calvin Johnson. But you have valid points there,i think the 0-13 really hurt him.

IDK man, ive watched all 3 of them quite a bit this year and it is almost never a good pass but CJ still catches it in double coverage. I couldnt imagine what he would do if he had a QB like Brady or even Delhomme. We have seen what Smith and Moss do when they have no QB (IE last year with Smith and few years ago when Moss was with OAK) they were good but not great, you could mkae the case Moss was garbage yet here you have johnson with 4 diffrent QBs still putting up great numbers.
