    Ok...

First off-The Falcons offensive line was fine for Vick. They weren't bad. In fact when Vick was hurt and a guy like Schaub played he was sacked at a lower rate than Vick. Vick ran himself into sacks. Vick was running around for his life because he had no pocket awareness and couldn't read a defense to save his life.

    2. Whenever Atlanta did bring in a WR to be the guy he tailed off because Vick has the accuracy of a haywire tennis ball cannon. Vick leaves, and Roddy White turns into a Pro Bowler. Coincidence? Ha! Please.

The defense wants Vick to pass the football, thus Vick is an elite QB. Do you think Vick is the only QB in the NFL whom defensive coordinators 'gameplanned against'? Sheesh.

Most receivers dont adjust to the game right away, Vick got White right away and he dropped more passes then I have ever seen. He started to get his swagger going Vick's last season in Atlanta and by the time Matt Ryan stepped in White had already had a 1,000+ yard season.

And obviously other teams were game planning against Vick's ability to scramble. No shit other players get game planned for but when Vick was playing he was considered one of the most dangerous weapons in football.

Some of this Vick-Hate going on right now is pretty impressive.

Hey guys. We have Vick this weekend.

        Let him throw.

        Ok, next meeting.

Every defense spends time gameplanning for the other teams QB. Every single game, every single QB.

        Vick wasn't special.

Roddy White was a rookie with Vick, just for starters.

The point is, you know the guy had 6 or 7 guys coming after him every play to get him to the ground. And you know Brian Finneran and Michael Jenkins were not getting open down field. It's very hard under those conditions to have a consistent game at the quarterback position. In fact, I would bet that very few guys could survive in those conditions and be considered "good quarterbacks".

If your first option is covered, and the blitz is in your face, you go make a play. That's what Vick did.

            1. Vick ran because he was great at it. Quit trying to treat Vick like a prototypical passing QB because he wasnt. If you're going into a Vick debate with the mentality that all QBs should play the same then you're obviously going to be bias against Vick.

            2. Peerless Price was the biggest name WR to ever play with Vick while he was in ATL.

                Are you serious?

Teams would put their fastest player on the scout team as Vick and would specifically gameplan for Vick's running ability. You can be a completely bias jackass and still admit that.

What you're saying teams did is just an over used joke, "Yeah Vick couldnt throw so lets make him throw lulz." Funny stuff.

LOL come on. Vick caused fits for opposing defensive coordinators. If you dont think they were spending a shit ton every week on how to force him to throw and what to do when he does break free, you gotta be crazy.

Look at Michael Jenkins. Best year of his career with Ryan.

                    2. Jenkins gets open downfield now. Ask the Bears.

Yeah because me bringing up Cunningham and Young show that I love the "prototypical QB"

It wasn't hard. Throw in tape of Vick vs the Bears or Bucs. They shut him down all the time. There's your plan. Replicaete it the best you can with the personnel you have.

LOL @ mentioning Joe Horn. Vick wasnt even playing the year Joe Horn got to ATL.

Im not really trying to support Vick as a passer.. but hes definitely had a mediocre receiving crew his whole career.

Horn was signed to help Vick out. That was my point. IIRC Horn was signed before the shit went down around the draft.

EDIT Horn signed in March of 2007.

Vick got busted in mid-late April.

Name one good QB in NFL history who did not have a single offensive weapon. I got Dan Marino and 2001-2002 Tom Brady (two of the best players the NFL has ever seen) and that's it. And even them two had more talent than Finneran and Price.

White had Joey Harrington, Byron Leftwich, and Chris Redman throwing him the ball the first season he went over 1,000 yards. Pretty sure White had finally elevated his game and adjusted to the speed of the NFL by then.

Michael Jenkins sucked dick every season up until this year when he realized he was playing for his job. Jenkins stepped up huge this past year and no one in Atlanta saw it coming. Laurent Robinson was the #2 guy up until his injury in the pre season and Jenkins promptly stepped up.

lol @ the Joe Horn fail. And I'm curious how much further the list really does go on? Vick had Crumpler, made him look pretty good. So who else then? Brian Finneran?
