Not really saying Vick compares to Cunningham, more about what's asked.
MVP usually come with the numbers, something Vick rarely had in part because of himself, in part because a lack of faith, right or wrong, from the staff that replaced the one that had utmost faith in him and his playmaking ability.

Yeah, MVP "usually come with the numbers", and Vick never had the numbers. Because he wasn't much of a passer. End of story. Stop comparing Vick to Randall Cunningham.

More to how trivial Vick not crossing 3000 is, and really overall how trivial yds racked up is overall depending on what's asked of the QB. Like the people who used to indict Brady for not crossing 4000, wasn't asked, wasn't the game his team played.

Vick being a poor passer is not 'trivial'. Even when you ignore his absurdly low yardage totals, you can see how inefficient he was. He rarely completed passes to his WRs downfield. Most of the time he was throwing to Crumpler or checking off to his RBs. Stop comparing Vick to Tom Brady.

Get Vick to launch 500 passes, you'd get 3000 yds. Probably get bunch of losses too, still get the numbers. Combine his rushing and passing, comparable to other trivial QBs in ball control O's with solid D.

Agree that you'd get a bunch of losses. If Vick launched 500 passes, he'd be getting sacked 150 times. I find it amazing that nearly every year he played Vick averaged more yards per rush than yards per pass. In his career, he averaged 7.3 yards per rush and only 6.7 yards per pass. Its truly bizarre.

Vick's downfall isn't he doesn't want to be a passer, but with his physical gifts its not instinct. He was oblivious and lacked poise in the pocket after years of rolling outside under pressure and chucking it. How he was used to taking over games. Dangerous, but not efficient. Some coaches will accept it, some rather live without it. Can see either side depending on philosophy.

The coaches who accept it are the ones who are fired in short order. Jim Mora wasn't kidding when he called Mike Vick a 'coach killer'.

And when Cunningham was throwing for 3000+ yards and running for nearly 1,000yds he was taking teams to the playoffs and winning MVP's. When Vick ran for nearly 1,000 he was 7-9 and murdering dogs.

Its not ironic nor hypocritical on my part. I back up what I saw with facts (i.e. what actually happened). You flame people. The only explanation is that when I say you are a Vick 'fanboy', you equate 'fanboy' with "n*****" and "motherfu**er".
