But this was the same staff that was going to hand the starting LT duties over to Williams this past season.

This coaching staff has always been horrible evaluators of talent/potential.

And the logic they used for Bennett not playing is still flawed as hell. He wasn't adjusted to the speed of the NFL enough to play WR but was adjusted enough to chase KR's down all over the field. WTF??

They need to get a WR in FA and draft OL.
Williams needing back sugery is still a result of bad scouting, he had Chronic back problems but they took him in the 1st round anyway. But ya they do need to get a vet WR in FA and draft an OL, but we've been stingy with the money in the pass, fucking jerry angelo.

Maybe we can get TJ or Chad... If not, I'd like to see them get Harvin in the Draft

Great just what we need, an undersized injury prone WR who is unpolished.

            .
Bennett was not drafted on "potential" and raw talent. He was a 3 time all SEC player and all time leader in the SEC in receptions. Bennett was supposed to be a more "polished" talent coming out of college by virtue of his body of work and experience as well as his skills.

LOL at we drafted him on potential and raw talent.

Bennett should have been the starting #3 WR on the team last year anytime after about the 8th week of the season.

Especially in the 3rd round, Especially the all time leader in SEC receptions and 3 time All SEC pick, and Especially with as bad the Bears WR corps is.

With Derrick Brooks and Warrick Dunn both being released today you would have to think if you are Jerry Angelo, Lovie Smith, and Rod Miranelli who have all worked with those two players in Tampa that we would make a move for them. Both of whom would help us. Brooks could play OLB for us opposite Briggs perhaps and Dunn would be a great back up/change of pace to Forte.

Hah reading this was sad cause Marcus Robinson was a mediocre threat himself.

I don't know about that. I was referring to the 1999 Marcus Robinson who had 84 catches for 1,400 yards and 9TD's before the injuires took him down the next two years(where he was playing pretty good football) and pretty much ended it for him.

He's always one of those players that I wonder most "What might have been" about if he had stayed healthy for us because he was so damn good that one season for us.

Sorry, I remember more of the injury riddled Marcus Robinson.. or the one that finally saw the field after injuries and only caught 22 balls. Poor guy. He did have some serious raw talent.

I can't see the bears leaving this FA period without a veteran WR now that Coles, Housh and Harrison are all out there.
