The offense sustained drive(s) and then Orton made terrible decisions. It's both accurate. It's not like he came into the game and threw all his interceptions on the first or second play or went 3-out. It's a good system that works and whomever the QB is better not be making those drive killer decisions.
It's also absurd to think that Orton is going to be a garbage QB all year with 30 interceptions only because he threw 3 in his first preseason game on a new team in a new offense where everyone is trying to get on the same page. The comment about matt Cassel was simply a nudge to show that McDaniels is very capable of coaching up a Qb if he is willing to be coachable with results. That remains to be seen with Orton.
I'm not an Orton fan by any means, but he isn't going to be a worse QB now than he was in Chicago's godforsaken unfriendly QB scheme. Apparently it's already rubbing off on Jay Cutler.
So what's the excuse for McDumbass starting Orton tonight and how are we going to blame Orton left handed throw on the Bears Qb coaches tonight?
The last time a Bears QB looked good was when Griese stopped listening to Ron Turner against the Eagles in the 4th quarter two years ago. Why are you so sure that the Bears woes haven't been because of Turner? Cutler looked awful against the Bills, but he had no offensive scheme. It was just "try to hit Hester" all day.
Didnt see this post before, but I do agree. Turner has had a huge impact on the QB woes, but without the talent it makes it all the more difficult, no? It remains to be seen how good Cutler will be, but what I do know is hes far more talented than the guys starting before him.. and thats the way us Bears fans gotta look at it for now.
Anyone got of gif of Orton throwing lefty? That was the most bizarre thing I've seen for a while. Why do it? Having said that, I did it once in a pickup game, with the same result lol.
I'm happy the Bears finally have a QB that is actually a Starter and not a Backup in a starting role.

of course cutler will make the playoffs. he can score 40 points a game, the problem in the past was so could anyone playing against the broncos defense.

Jay Cutler is one of the most overrated qb's in the league. Big arm, small brain.

Kyle Orton will lead Denver to an equal or better record than Jay Cutler and Chicago.
I still have a chance to be right about them not making the playoffs.
PS: Ill admit this thread was total ignorance and fun of me watching Orton play atrocious in the pre-season. I still love Orton as a human being, and I still dont think hes all that good of a quarter back. But the Broncos did indeed have the last laugh in this situation.
