    coming to grips with it....

Worst part is how smart Smith is and how much he will help the Eagles study our team.

Im imagining the injury will probally hurt his career and he will most likely get hurt again. He was never a burner just a smart player with good route running and quickness. Maybe he wont ever be as good as he was pre injury.

The future is Nicks and Manningham so we still have 2 great receivers. The young talent with Cruz and Jernigan is exciting. Maybe Hixon can breakout a big year at receiver.

Just sucks to lose a good player and especially to Eagles. Really... Most likely he plays this year then signs on the west coast with SD or SF

          Gotta be optimistic.

-Still have a stable QB who can sling it.
-Kept our two RBs and Bradshaw is entering his prime.
-Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham entering their 3rd years as every week wideouts and throw in the young guys (Cruz, Jernigan) as hungry ballcatchers.
-We do have depth along the OL and the guys we have starting are pretty good (McKenzie, Snee, Baas, Diehl and young Beatty)

-I'm excited about the defensive front. Looks like Osi is healthy, explosive and coming back to play. Which means we still have Tuck, Osi, JPP (!!!) and Kiwanuka. Add in the fresh meat with Linvyl Joseph and Marvin Austin up the middle with the depth of Bernard and the guy they signed from Arizona...

-Secondary took a hit with Prince's injury but it's not a bad unit at all. KP has to be playing this year more relaxed than last year, a year removed from injury.

-LB corps is what it is, hopefully a guy like Ingram or Herzlich can establish themselves as contributors.

-Special teams should definitely be better with Jernigan/Hixon returning the ball and then Weatherford (IMO) becoming the full-time punter.

-TE is a tough spot, no idea how that will unfold. Hopefully Beckum's run blocking has improved over the years.

Then after the season, Manningham, McKenzie and I think Terrell Thomas and Aaron Ross hit free agency.

          Optimistic.

The problem isn't the talent at WR. The problem is you lost the best slot receiver you had and probably the best route runner.

Nicks and Manningham for whatever reason couldn't work out of there. Maybe they worked on it this offseason and in training camp. But they've got a real issue at that position where Eli knew he always had that option on 3rd down.

I'm a DC facing the Giants, I double Nicks and go after Eli hard on 3rd. Sure, Manningham might beat you once in a while, but I like those chances.

Exactly. I'm fucking livid at Jerry Reese right now. You mean to tell me he couldn't re-work other contracts to keep some of these guys? In the NFL, $2mil is chump change. Eli has to be pissed. Loses his most reliable option in Steve Smith to a hated division rival.

This will be the third straight year NY misses the playoffs.

And we lost Boss.....What is more of a kick in the ballz is that SS goes to the fucking Iggles and they are tooling up to beat the shit out of the Giants. With Dallas reborn after getting rid of that dummy (I cant even remember his name), the best they could hope for is a split with each team in the division.

Isn't Steve Smith like out indefinitely, though?

                  We'll be fine....11-5, book it

Rames Barden and Victor Cruz will answer the bell....and Hixon will bounce back.....Travis Beckum can't block but he'll be a good receiving option at TE

Steve Smith might not even play anytime soon anyway, fuck em

Ya'll worry too much without even seeing the product on the field yet lol

Fuck the Eagles, they ain't did shit yet...ain't easy winning even with a dream squad, ask the Miami Heat, Phillies last year

                  11-5

Losing Smith is not the end of the world, remember that. One of these young guys might be a gem. Please please stay pretty much clear of major injuries from this point.

Ultimately a lot of will fall on Eli. He needs to protect the ball and not force so many down field passes. Also these WRs need to fucking learn to catch the ball.

I will question the LB crew....do we have anyone noteworthy in that department?

Will Cruz be the slot WR now, or is Hixon occupying it?

                          Not really.

They say Kiwanuka will be the strongside LB on early downs. That means the other two starters may be Goff and Boley by default.

Means our depth will likely be Phil Dillard, Clint Sintim, Kenny Ingram, Greg Jones, Jacquian Williams and Mark Herzlich, assuming they keep them all.

There's a lot of unknowns in that Giant linebacking crew, but that's what makes it so exciting

Never know who will rise up

And the way they're talking up JPP, I can't wait to see this kid play more.....they already took him off special teams (against his will) so they are protecting what they think is a very valuable commodity

Man, so much to be excited about....fuck Boss and Smith equally, turncoats lol...the Blue show will go on

Eagles doctors seem to think he will be ready by October.

Coughlin said today that he is 4-6 weeks from today to hitting the field to practice as per Mike Garafolo.
