I agree with a lot of what Rolle said, but he should have kept it in-house.

There does seem to be a lack of leadership on this team. No one's filling in the void left by Strahan and Pierce.

And I HATE this read and react shit!

Yeah I agree also he's new here and already mouthing off to the press....he should've verbally :asskicking: in private

Tuck and Osi aren't leaders.....they seem more concerned about their starting jobs....makes you really appreciate guys like well dressed Amani Toomer who led by example and didn't talk much

And read and react is what got Tim Lewis canned

I hope it's just a situation where the defense outsmarted themselves, being too scared to get beat by Peyton.

I'm looking for a statement game against the Titans on Sunday and hopefully things start to look up.

I know it's early but...does anyone else have the feeling that if stories about Coughlin possibly losing the locker room persist and the team plays poorly and misses the playoffs that the team could look to bring someone new in?

Part of me says no way, that he'll have a long leash, but if he apparently loses the team as he did prior to the SB run...perhaps.

I don't doubt that for a second. I believe the Giants have to make the playoffs or Coughlin is gone. (((cough))) Bill Cowher (((cough)))

Not if Big Jerry can get him first, apparently.

It seems like every other year there are rumblings that Coughlin has lost the locker room in New York. I read Ernie Accorsi's book (he was the Giants GM), and he had some unflattering things to say about Coughlin. Its strange to me that Coughlin still manages to do reasonably well and keep his job despite all the rumors.

Winning cures everything. From all I've read, Coughlin was nearly out the door, but the Super Bowl run saved his ass. And the following season, the G-Men finished 12-4 with a brutal schedule(2nd toughest after Pittsburgh), so that quieted the anti-Coughlin talk.

Yeah if you remember the off season before the SB season, Coughlin was practically out of there and then he somehow got a one year extension. I bet the majority of the fan base wanted/thought he was gonna get canned.

We need some life in the locker room.

Like I said earlier, we need a Pierce or a Strahan in that locker room. Rhude is right, Osi and Tuck aren't those kind of guys. Neither is Eli.

I would trade our entire draft this year for Ray Lewis. I know he is old but he can fire up a defense.

                              Position Advantage:

                              NYG: QB, WR, DL
TEN: RB, OL, LB, DB, ST, Coach

                              Things to watch:

                              1. Make V. Young confident again
                              2. Play-action (both teams)
                              3. Exploit NYG LBs in passing game

                              5. S. Andrews may start to get involved
                              6. NYG hold their gaps against CJ
                              7. Honor VY's running
                              8. TACKLE CJ
