If it was just that, killing dogs, Vick probably wouldn't have done much time if at all. It's the whole interstate gambling thing that made it an auto federal offense. People need to stop with the dogs = humans debate because that's not what we are debating. Shit, Vick's former teammate, Falcons DT Jonathan Babineaux murdered his girlfriend's dog in cold blood and didn't miss a game.

Vick ran a criminal enterprise. The killing of dogs makes the dog lovers and PETA angry but I'm sure the NFL and the feds could give two shits about that, it's the interstate gambling that did him in.
