Yeah nothing to do with the Titans already having a very good punter and most teams only carrying one . The Titans also noted the kid played VERY WELL in his time under them

Truth. Hentrich was already their punter. Trapasso wasn't necessary for them .

All it did was get his name out there and get him a shot with the Jets, who promptly cut him when they realized he wasn't very good.

There's no doubt in my mind he intentionally hit it, either on his own or at the direction of Fisher. No one's come even close in a game since. If it's so easy, why is that the case? And if he's so good, someone else would have given him a shot.

He probably did hit it in purpose ... I'm not doubting that . I was simply saying that he didn't get "his ass cut because he aimed for it" . I'm sure he isin't that good but the Titans sure did speak highly of him after he got cut . So highly that they picked him back up as soon as Hentrich got re-injured just incase he wasn't ready to go

I'm sure he's pretty good. However, punters are not in high demand, nor are they a huge concern. Once again, there hasn't been a big leg punter to punt in that stadium other than Hentrich and Trapasso (who was the Ray Guy winner at Ohio State).

We'll see when Shane Lechler and Mike Scifres (who are scheduled @Dallas) punt there.

              They won't hit it.

They, like Mat McBriar, are actually good at what they do and aren't trying to make a name for themselves.
