    You're right!!!

Elway can't draft and the "Manning Experience" failed!

Get ready for the Dark Days, Broncos fans!

    ... Just sayin!

Manning and Champ need to do us a favor and retire, save us some cap space!

To be fair, Elway took some of the worst Super Bowl teams in the history of the game to the dance...but he wouldn't live that game down for almost a decade.
Fuck me for mocking maynard and trying to have some laughs to get over this loss. Fuck me right?

Blame the lack of a running game, a piss poor offensive line and Seattle's defense taking away the screen passes for Denver losing this one. Has some to do with Peyton, but not nearly what everyone is going to make it out to be.

Running game, self explanatory. You lose balance and Seattle didn't have to respect it, so they sit on the pass or can blitz when they need to. Offensive line couldn't give Manning any time to complete anything that wasn't a screen or a short out/slant pattern, so he could barely try downfield, which was going to be very difficult to do without a running attack. Screen passes meant Seattle took out the only other weapon that the Broncos had to beat them with.

Very hard for me to blame this game on Peyton when it's a team effort, and the Broncos didn't have a well-rounded offense for a game like this against one of the best defenses in recent memories.

Which is why Maynard's argument is the worst when he says Elway is better than Manning.

If your argument against Manning is big games, go for it, but you absolutely can not bring up Elway. Elway was pretty awful in three out of five Super Bowls, and if you want to rip Manning for getting blown out tonight, Elway was blown out in one of the two Super Bowls where he played decent.

Goddamn. I personally knew Maynard was the worst poster on the site way back in 2009, but his performance in here should pretty much seal the deal for any doubters.

My only qualm with this argument...Elway took some real dog shit teams to the Super Bowl and played against some GOAT teams.

In this instance, Peyton has had some of the leagues best teams in his playoff runs and stunk...including this Broncos team, which, IMO, was the best team in the league.

Peyton had some terrible throws regardless of how his team played. Games like this have to count against him and I don't think he can be considered the GOAT after this. Especially considering the weapons he had on this team.

Seriously this Manning GOAT talk is silly now. Don't blame the running game , the protection blah blah blah. If all of that is good enough to score more points than any team in NFL history and have a disgusting 55-10 ratio for Manning it's good enough not to get manhandled and held to a lulz worthy 8 points. Can't give credit to a guy for being some field general for fooling teams and bluffing people at the LOS then brush off his screwing up the opening play where everyone but him seemed to be off at the snap. Being unable to to adjust to the small change in defense until the second half etc etc.

Sorry SBs aren't week 7 match ups. The pressure and nerves get to people or bring out the best in others. Manning isn't that guy to step up his game. Can't be GOAT just to make yourself feel good. Montana's SB record and performances are just light years ahead at this point.

Yep, different era where the super bowl was the NFC title game and the AFC was just playing to see who would get whooped

Elways teams were garbage, Manning even was below average when he won his, dude has choked to much at this point

Also, not calling someone the GOAT is not a knock, he just doesn't have the big game in him enough it seems to be it, it has been his for taken and he keeps throwing picks

Manning has plenty of blame, but he shouldn't suffer through all of it, or even half of it. You pointed out some mistakes, but the Seahawks took away everything. He couldn't make any yards on short throws- Seattle wanted to stop those. He couldn't throw downfield- after three seconds he was harassed by defenders because Seattle didn't have to respect the run. It all plays a part.

This Broncos team was built to do well in the regular season, but not the playoffs. Denver had favorable opponents to get to the Super Bowl this year. But in the end, defense and a power running attack still trumps all, and Seattle had that. Denver did not.
