Enough is enough. Peyton Manning is the greatest QB of all time.

I'd say adding a 4th MVP, and winning another AFC title adds to his resume, despite the mediocre SB.

Perspective, people. Another great year, and his book isnt close to being fully written.

The GOAT does not throw pick 6's to lose his team the game in the Superbowl. Montana retains the title of GOAT in my opinion.

Brett Favre is not the greatest of all-time.

Manning isn't either, but I still have him higher than Favre. Montana is still my GOAT.

Measuring the greatness of a quarterback by one play/Super Bowl victories is retarded.

Also, I love how most of the people saying Montana is GOAT probably never even watched him play.

Superbowl trophies are what it is all about so that plays a big part in the discussion. If it wasn't for 4 Superbowl wins, Favre would be the GOAT based on holding every record of significance in the league....as it is, I have him behind Montana and either 2 or 3 depending on if you put Elway ahead of him which is arguable.

BTW, I am old enough to remember Montana playing. I was watching live on "the catch" that began the 49ers Superbowl run.

                      1. Montana
                      2. Elway
                      3. Brady
                      4. Manning
                      5. Favre
I'm curious as to why Brady is over Manning and why Elway above both.

Yeah he totally cost us the superbowl . Not the D or Hank Basketts hands on an onside kick. Or hey, how about trying a 51 yarder with a 45 year old kicker who is 1/4 from 50+ in the last two years?

                          Joe Montana agrees.

It's not fair but the loss is going to be hung around Peyton's neck for throwing that pick 6. The QB gets too much credit for winning the game and too much blame for losing the game. It's just the nature of the beast.

Brady will probably pass him when all is said and done. Not to mention how much help Manning has had on offense when compared to Elway.
I suppose, if that's what you're judging it by, but games won by a quarterback are really irrelevant to me, so I'm not impressed by championships or playoffs games won. If I'm looking at wins, I'd rather look at pressure situations and game-winning drives/comebacks.

Brady will pass Elway in Super Bowl appearances? Really? I don't see Brady ever making another one again to be honest.

EDIT: I also look at the fact that Terry Bradshaw has four Super Bowls and say that winning it goes far beyond the quarterback.
