Your theory makes no sense. Basically you're saying McDaniels wanted Cassel, had Cassel and 2 first round picks on the table for Cutler, and then said "no".

    PLease try another theory.
No, I'm saying the reports and quotes from Cutler himself post-meeting said that McDaniels was actively pursuing Matt Cassel. After the meeting concluded Cutler asked for a trade.

Where the hell did I say that there was a Cassel + 2 draft picks for Cutler deal on the table?!

Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler said Sunday night that he will not report to the team's first meeting on Monday and has formally asked to be traded.

He admitted he wanted Matt Cassel because he said he has raised him up from the ground as a quarterback. He said he wasn't sorry about it. He made it clear that he could still entertain trading me because, as he put it, he'll do whatever he feels is in the best interest of the organization.
    Yes, my crazy crackpot theory.

That's what I'm saying when I say the arm is there but the mind isin't

"Ron is doing a good job. He asks my opinion a lot during the game. Whenever we've got time on the sideline they ask me how I feel about it. If I don't like it, I'll say no, let's do something else. Nine times out of 10 they will give you something else. It's a work in progress not only for him but the entire offense. Ron has some new weapons and a new quarterback so we're all working together. Luckily enough for us there is still a lot of football left."
I'm pretty sure this is what got Ron in trouble with Grossman.

Ron: Grossman we're gonna run some short routes and I want you to try to dump off the the RBs a little more.

Grossman: Nah I'm just gonna throw downfield.

        :bike:

Cutler's arrogance was prevalent at Vanderbilt, and I really thought it would doom his career...

Orton has seemed to find his place (so far) in Denver. Let's see it keep up...

But all this trash really makes it hard for Bears fans to hope he continues his success, I will admit.
Kinda like how Cutler taking shots at the Denver supporters makes it hard for them to hope he does well?

He bitched to get out , could have fucked up the team before pre-season with his bitching (while it wasn't all his fault it was still a rookie HC and he was doing it in public) then he leaves and makes a comment about the Denver support

Yeah I would love that guy to do well if he did that to my team

It's just funny, that even though the Broncos are 6-0, Orton's doing well, everything's just fine, the Denver fans need to feel like Cutler is doing poorly to feel better. Why? You're 6-0, you've got Orton, you should be happy.
I'm not but you say this "trash" and other Bears fans ask why Broncos fans are hoping Cutler does bad .

It's pretty obvious why they feel the way they do about the guy

This probably has to do with the media, bears fans, and people in general shitting on Denver throughout the entire offseason. Not to mention all the Bears fans on this site and elsewhere who shit on Orton throughout the offseason and preseason.

I remember last game Orton throws a high pass and there's a few Bears fans in the chatbox saying lame shit like "there's the Orton I remember!" Maybe this isn't the entire reason for it...but there was a ton of arrogance and nonsense pouring out of Chicago before this season started.

Bears fans want Orton to fail as much as Denver fans want Cutler to.

And this isn't even touching on how Cutler acted throughout the whole ordeal.

It wasn't just Bears fans shitting on the Broncos this off-season, pretty sure it was everyone. By that logic the Broncos fans should be shitting on everyone equally, not just team who their former QB went to, who's not doing nearly as bad as they'd like to think.
I clearly said "on this site and elsewhere" then listed the chatbox thing as an example. And I clearly said it was everyone that was shitting on the Bears, probably why Glen bumped that thread and called a bunch of those people out.

I went to Purdue which is filled with Chicago kids, and live close enough to get Chicago sports radio.
