I like how Bill says Rodgers did nothing to help the team last year, but fails to mention how many times the defense blew a 4th quarter lead late in the game last year....but my bad i forgot Favre could play D and not all that to happen.

Of course it is stupid to play that blame game and at the end of the day the only thing to judge a QB on is wins and losses. You know how that story plays out.Comment

If you start throwing in defenses blowing games in Green Bay as an excuse for Rodgers, then you have to let Favre off of the hook for game ending INT's in the divisional round against the Eagles (4th and 26) and the NFC championship game against the Giants (Plax 11/160 and only the Giants kicker missing a few FG's in the 4th sent it to OT).
They have very little to do with one another. Also, in both those playoff games, the Packers only let the opposing team tie them, and the Packers still had chances to win the game. The INTs by Favre were horrendous no matter how you look at them. Especially the Eagles one, because the Packers run game was chewing up Philly's D. No need to heave one up for grabs.
Did you see the Packers-Bucs game? Are you going to blame Rodgers for throwing the end-of-game INT? Just curious.Comment

And yes, I did watch the Packers-Bucs game and Rodgers had 3 picks (as many as Favre has all year) and I do blame him for the stupid throw at the end of the game. The Packers were only down by 3 and he could have gotten the team into FG range. It was 3rd and 17, no need to heave up a duck into tight coverage.Comment

Once again, you never let the facts get in the way of a good "argument".Comment

The first one, I didn't see him. Tried to kind of put it in there against the wind. Felt good about the second ball. Unfortunately got a little deflection there. And then the third one is third and 17 or whatever....Third or fourth down, think it was desperation. Still felt good about the throw but may have been a little bit high.Comment

Then you might need to tell Aaron Rodgers because I was reading his post game comments earlier this morning on the JS Packer Plus blog...Comment

To be fair, there was 52 seconds left at the beginning of the play. He needed roughly 60 yards to get a good shot at a field goal. Rodgers had 6+ seconds to throw and missed a clearly open Donald Driver. It was a horrible pass and inexcusable, but it's what he has always done in those situations.Comment

I think Aaron Rodgers has a serious problem when it comes to taking sacks, and it cost the Packers dearly Sunday in Tampa. He's got 37 now. I'm not absolving a porous offensive line, but Mike McCarthy has to get it through Rodgers' head when the rush is closing in to throw it away. If I were McCarthy, I'd put on some tape of Peyton Manning today. Manning's Colts line is not a lot better than Green Bay's -- it really isn't; just watch -- and Manning's taken seven sacks. That's because Manning knows when to throw it away or go to his hot guy.Comment

Remember when Rodgers threw that pass to Jennings against the Bears this year to win the game?Comment

LOL at "to be fair". What are you talking about? Are you talking about a different play than the interception? Everything you said is not what happened on the INT. I'd also like to add that, at this point, the Packers had given up 31 points to the Bucs....twice their normal scoring output.
