Favre threw the ball 34 times a game and accounted for about 28 TDs per year. Starr threw the ball about 20 times a game and accounted for about 12 TDs per year.

Those are a lot of Playoff TD's and Ints. Cause I was talking about playoffs and critical games. Yes, I do believe those include regular season stats. Now look at the post season stats. This just proves my:

Passing is the way because the league made it SOOO MUCH EASIER to pass from the late 70's on. Especially, rules changes in the 90's. Almost every rule change, and how the officials implement the rules have helped offense, scoring and PASSING. Of course passing will be the way. It's WAY easier to do in today's game.
