Not to mention, Cincinnati has gotten better each and every year, which makes the fall of WVU less meaningful.
Notre Dame was 9-3 in 2005. They were 10-3 in 2006. No ND fan with a brain would say that the 2006 team was better. So records do not tell the entire story. To just look at the teams records as the sole indication of them being better or not is mildly retarded. The Big East overall has gotten worse over the past 3-4 years. It's not even a debate. Quit trying to defend a shit league. Cinci got better but still got pimp smacked by Florida.

Pitt also beat WVU and Rutgers the past two years.

Pitt must be the only school that measures success not by wins and bowl games, but with recruiting class rankings! Maybe they can be just like Illinois once they join the Big 10!
I didn't say I'm measuring the success by recruiting rankings. I'm saying that when Harris left, he left the team bare and Wanny had to start from scratch and that is why Pitt was down for 3 years. Now that he has been recruiting better, look at what Pitt has done. 9 and 10 win seasons. And yeah most teams that are in BCS bowls have Juniors and Seniors, but the people behind them actually have talent, where Pitt didn't have the players to replace the following year.

What is ND's record against the "shit" league the last two years?

Wanny didn't have two shitty classes and then leave the program with nothing. Wanny built it back up with 2 top 15 classes, and solid classes the years after. As well as having another top 15 class this year. Recruiting doesn't always equal wins, but it sure as fuck helps.

After watching Cincinnati give up TD after TD to lowly Illinois at the end of the regular season, then get COMPLETELY pulverized by Florida and making Tim Tebow look like Joe Montana (31 of 35??!!), I think Cincinnati hasn't really gotten all that much better...the Big East has gotten worse.

            Just my $0.02.

              Most likely not very good.

Which doesn't prove anything seeing as Notre Dame hasn't been good the last two seasons....?

The Big East having a better record head to head with a down Notre Dame program doesn't make the Big East any less shitty.

Just saying that any team playing Florida, on Tebow's last game, with their Head Coach bolting for Notre Dame and then having your interim coach also plan on leaving to go to buffalo, they would lose. But you're right Cincy's defense was terrible, but that offense was great no matter what you say about it.

The fact is that Pitt has gotten better over the last two years, went to 2 consecutive bowl games (1-1) and will continue to get better. Saying that Pitt would be 5-7 in the Big Ten is a joke when you have teams like Purdue, Indiana, Northwestern, and Minnesota (Who needed overtime to beat the last ranked Big East team.)

Edit: I get it FirstTimer, you groan my posts because you don't agree with anything that has to do with a team other than Notre Dame.

In one of their 2 "consecutive" bowl games, Pitt lost 3-0 to Oregon State in the Sun Bowl, which was possibly the worst college football game I have ever seen in my life.

Northwestern would easily beat Pitt. Minnesota is probably about the same as Pitt.

Northwestern lost to Syracuse. Minnesota needed overtime to beat Syracuse. Pitt beat Syracuse 37-10. /argument.

Notre Dame beat Washington. Washington beat USC. USC beat Notre Dame..../transitive property being a legit argument.

I wasn't saying that Pitt was better than them because of that.. He said Northwestern would easily beat Pitt... That point proves they couldn't easily beat the worst team in the Big East.

And Pitt couldn't beat the team that tied for 10th in the ACC. What conclusion should I draw from that?
