    2010 HOF Prediction contest

The Hall of Fame will select the class of 2010 this weekend, and I'd like to know who you folks think will get in. Not necessarily who you think *should* get in, but who you think the board of selectors will actually choose. One entry per person.

Here's the full list of nominees. You have to select between 4 and 7 nominees, and no more than five can be from the modern era list.

    SENIOR NOMINEES
    Dick LeBeau, Floyd Little

    MODERN ERA
Tim Brown, Cris Carter, Don Coryell, Roger Craig, Dermontti Dawson, Richard Dent, Russ Grimm, Charles Haley, Rickey Jackson, Cortez Kennedy, John Randle, Andre Reed, Jerry Rice, Shannon Sharpe, Emmitt Smith

More details on the nominees available from the Hall of Fame website.

Only in Canton, Ohio are fans able to see and interact with more than 100 Hall of Famers to kick off the National Football League's season. Learn more about tickets and events.

I think these guys are a lock-

    Jerry Rice
    Emmitt Smith
    Cris Carter
    Shannon Sharpe

There will probably be at least one other person from the list but I don't know which guy it will be because it would all come down to who the voters are biased against more than the other candidates.

Emmitt Smith & Jerry Rice are locks. Shannon Sharpe should be a lock. They snuffed him last year, I think he gets in this time. I'd like to see Russ Grimm in. Then either John Randle or Don Coryell.

Then again, the love fest for Tim Brown & Cris Carter will likely come in to play & put one of them in place of one of those guys.

        Dick LeBeau
        Jerry Rice
        Emmitt Smith
        Shannon Sharpe
        Charles Haley

Rice is a lock, and because of that I think Carter and Brown have to wait another year or 2 because they won't want any of the others "conflicting" with each others induction.

After 3 surefire offensive players, they'll need to throw a bone to a defensive player, I chose Haley over Dent because of his SBs

IMO it seems the NFL pundits love to slobs the knob of Lebeau...hence i chose him.

I can't believe they ignored Sharpe again.

Cris Carter didn't make it again.

Why do they have to make it overly complicated? I almost understand them not putting a lot of guys in first ballot to make it seem "special", but anything after that is just downright stupid. Sharpe should be in.
Do i need to pull up the numbers of jackson and Lawrence Taylor? They are almost identical and LT is considered by many to be the best LB of all time.

I'm not going to agree with comparing Ricky Jackson to LT, but Jackson was a hell of a football player and more than deserving to go into the HOF. Then again, so is Shannon Sharpe.

On a Dome Patrol side note: Surprised that Pat Swilling didn't garner more HOF votes and make it.

Very similar resume to Jackson's and has a DPOY award to go along with it as well.

Carter, Brown, Sharpe...I didn't think they'd get in...they are all deserving, but I don't know if you put them in on Jerry and Emmitt's "day"...it is going to be a big time celebration of those two players on that day and the rest of the class will simply be filled out.

Carter and Brown and Sharpe will get in soon, just this wasn't the year.
