Sorry, it's not that hard for me to believe that a 36 year old, coming off of a devastating knee injury, the kind that no player has ever come back from, is that much better, or any better than a 24 year old with upside, or a 25ish year old that has shown also to be a good return guy, By the way, both the young guys can and have played well on special teams.
That un-drafted rookie, that has been playing lights out, that Harris couldn't beat out over the last 3 weeks? Harris has been given every opportunity to show where he is at the past 3 weeks. According to Al, he has gotten a lot of reps in practice.
Smith was cut for good reasons. And he is only back on the team because half our safety's were injured and we were desperate at the position. I haven't seen Smith on the field except for limited special teams play. I haven't seen him sniff safety yet.
