Chargers did a great job getting hands on Peyton. Wasn't exactly Peyton's fault on those interceptions. The first two a defender got his hand on Manning's arm or the ball right as he threw it. The third one the receiver slipped. Didn't see the fourth one.

There's no asterisks for picks though, Peyton threw the game away with 2 pick 6's (and 2 more INT's for good measure) just like he threw the Super Bowl away with a pick 6 to the Saints.

You know he is so worked up about the bad performance that he'll probably throw a perfect game in the playoffs against the Chargers but he looked awfully human last night.

The Chiefs were also missing Dexter McCluster and Brandon Flowers.

That's a classic trap game that the KC teams of past years would have almost certainly lost...and they won convincingly.

I can't wait for San Diego.
I didn't see you guys as a legit threat, but the last 2 games have definitely changed my attitude. Your schedule looks good, and so does ours. Any chance we will actually see 2 AFC West teams in the playoffs? Probably not likely but with our schedules anything is possible

No way the conference is garbage the division winner is going one and done... It's laughable to even suggest the the AFC West would get two teams in the playoffs this year.

Just because your team is god awful and in the west doesn't mean you have to crap all over the other ones.. We could have two 10-6 teams at the end of the year.. The Ravens remaining schedule, in particular the next 3 games, is pretty tough.. They aren't a gimme to get the 6th seed yet..

              Have a look at these schedules;

Chiefs: vs Broncos, @ Chargers, @ Rams, vs Titans, vs Raiders.

They should go 2-1 in their home games and have a good shot to go 1-1 in the other 2.. Puts them at 10-6.

Chargers: vs Chiefs, vs 49ers, vs Rams, @ Bengals, @ Broncos.

I don't want to say we're gonna win out because anything can happen, but I'd be very surprised if we lose another home game this year and we should be able to handle our last 2 games pretty comfortably. For arguments sake we'll say we drop 1 - also puts us at 10-6

1 team will come from the South, 2 from the East.. Leaving the final wildcard spot for the North and West.

Ravens have some very losable games (vs Steelers, @ Texans, vs Saints).

2 playoff teams from the West probably won't happen but is a definite possibility.

Chargers have the best shot at 10-6 however 9-7 is a more realistic expectation. And no one would be surprised if they won the AFC at 8-8.

                    LOL Raiders fans.
You're starting to remind me of delusional Denver and Oakland fans from about a month ago.

The Chiefs just beat the Cardinals and Seahawks before they got their asses handed to them by the Broncos and lost to the Raiders. The same Seahawks team that the Raiders beat 31-3 and the Broncos beat 31-14. It's so typical, a team beats a couple of slapdick teams and their fans think they are on the road to win the division.

The Chiefs have beaten one team with a winning record this year. And guess what, that team (Jacksonville 6-5) wasn't even playing with their starting Quarterback.

The Chiefs haven't done anything to impress me. They're a decent team just like 20 other teams in the league this year, but they're not winning the division.

Sorry for not believing. Hold on to your "1 game lead" argument for as long as you can, because it's not going to last very long.

The same Seahawks team that also beat the Chargers. The Browns beat the Patriots. You know what all of that tells me? Nothing. That's how the NFL goes.

I never said you should be impressed. As a Raiders fan, the Chiefs should never impress you. Ever.

I don't give a fuck if you believe or not. Congrats for saying the same thing GoChargers already said in this thread.

You do know that I started this thread, don't you?

You'd also know that I hate the Chargers just as much as I hate the Chiefs or Broncos. I don't have a favorite here, I'm not pulling for the Chargers, I'm just much more impressed by them than any other team in the division right now and rightfully so.

Being a Raiders fan has nothing to do with the Chiefs impressing me. The Chiefs just haven't beaten anyone worth a damn yet. I'd be more impressed with their win vs. SD if it wasn't the first game of the season, they weren't dominated in every aspect of the football game, and if the Chargers were playing then like they are now.

Though I will say that I have been more than impressed with Matt Cassel this season. 22 TDs and 4 INTs is outstanding and he deserves more credit than he's been getting.

Can I count on the Raiders to finish with a winning record after the Chiefs beat them on the last week of the season?

The Chiefs can only play the teams on their schedule. You won't see my saying that the schedule isn't easy.

You also won't see me saying that the Chiefs are a great football team. I haven't said that. You also haven't seen me say that I think they'll win the division.

All I've said is that it's possible.

Do I think KC will beat the Chargers in San Diego? No, I really don't. Can they beat them? Yeah, they can. It's exciting to see what happens.

I think it will be interesting to see how both KC and San Diego handle the pressure. San Diego won the division 2 years ago at 8-8. The Broncos faded last year and gave them an easy path to the division title. I think it will be intriguing to see how San Diego responds if the Chiefs stay step for step with them in the division...since they haven't had to deal with that in recent years.

It's easy to say "Oh, the Chargers will take over and win the division." I say let's wait and see. They don't play well with the hype and expectations early in the season...let's see what they do when they're expected to take the division from the Chiefs.

Huge win by the Raiders today. If the Chargers don't make it because of these 2 losses I'm going to be pretty happy.

I'd much rather the Chiefs make it to the playoffs than the Chargers, anyway, I like their team/organization much more than that smug asshole Rivers and that zombie Turner.
