As much as I'd love to see him come back, I just don't see it happening at all. He's got a lot of injuries to recover from in the offseason and, even though he'll show up just before the 3rd preseason game, I don't think he wants to go through it again. He didn't really want to do it this year but he felt he owed it to the guys to come back for another year. I don't see it.

I wouldn't get my hopes up, Manning has likely already played his best football and he can't carry the whole team forever. The Colts will be very lucky to win another Super Bowl while he is there.

I think any team in that situation will have learned from the last three examples.

I have to disagree. I've had buddies who only played through college and have suffered close to 10 concussions.

I'd imagine that suffering 10-12 concussions through highschool, college, and then 20 years in the NFL would be fairly easy for a quarterback.

Of course, we can never really know. But the guy has literally played football for close to 30 years.

The saddest part is he's going to be as weak and frail as an 80 year old in 10 years and probably as senile as Muhammad Ali.

Which will make him even more awesome.

I don't care what anyone says. The guy is a complete lunatic and batshit crazy, but one of the toughest guys to ever play sports. Everyone that has ever played with him has had nothing but good things to say about him.

Completely full of himself, hard headed, and a little off his rocker? Yeah, definitely, but why the fuck would I care. I don't judge these guys because I really don't care about them one way or another.

I'm just a fan of football and the stories behind these teams and players. It's just a drama to me. And Favre will be one of the most memorable characters that I've ever seen. That's all that matters to me.
