You made it clear you weren't a Bucs fan during the season. All those training camp reports from One Buc were just to go there & kiss Grudens ass, you didnt give a fuck about the team.
How the fuck do you pledge allegiance to a fucking coach? Fuck Gruden, the hell did he do for us? All he did was take Tonys ready made team and win with it. Guy was supposed to be an offensive guru but we were one of the worst, most inconsistent offenses in the league with his bum ass scouting and drafting. Bruce Gradkowski? Chis Simms? Luke McCown? Old Ass Garcia? (I like him but he wasnt shit long term.) Fuck Gruden.
It has nothing to do with kissing Gruden's ass. It has everything to do with how it all went down and how they fucked Gruden over. Gruden was the best thing to happen to the franchise and he had little to work with, money-wise, after the Super Bowl thanks to the maxed out deals that Rich McKay worked out.
Hell, Gruden went 9-7 with almost the same team that Raheem went 3-13 with.
Also, Gruden brought in 22 new players during the Super Bowl season. It was hardly "Dungy's team." Plus, who do we define as Dungy's players? Sapp, Brooks and Lynch were all drafted by Sam Wyche. The cornerstones of that defense were not even his draft choices. If we are going to compare poor scouting look at guys like Al Harris who Dungy released and went on to have successful careers as well.
The Glazers did Gruden wrong and they did it in a classless way, same way they did Dungy when they fired him. His pass-key to One Buc was already void when he went to go pack his things up.
As I said before, FUCK 'EM.Maddon & Friedman: Pissing off the AL East since 2008

I normally avoid prison shows and movies because certain scenes make me feel ....uncomfortable.
But something about the ass-raping BB and Atlas are getting is almost magical.Best reason to have a license.

Wherever Gruden goes is where I'll be anyway. Thanks for clarifying things. You arent a Bucs fan but a Gruden groupie. 3-13 last season, 7-3 this season. I dont care who we have beaten as long as they are NFL teams and we are growing. We wouldnt have won any of these close games last season. Maybe Gruden can take someone elses team on the cusp to the promise land again. Dallas anyone?
What did Gruden do for our offense during his tenure? Nothing. Monte held up to his side of the deal while the offense was stagnant.

Raheem managed to make huge strides this year with the youngest team in the league and the lowest payroll so excuse me if I dont have any sympathy for a high profile, overpaid coach who did absolutely nothing for the future of this franchise.

He and Bruce Allen did absolutely nothing to help this team in the long run after winning the SB. Our drafts were terrible aside from a handful of players. Raheem has done more in 2 off seasons than Gruden has done his entire tenure to help this team moving forward.

Hopefully the D can make up for the lack of Offense. Yes he has 4 road playoff victories but we can attribute that to good D and Special Teams. He has a lot of weapons with Holmes Edwards and Keller... Cotchery comes up Big as well, but the Jets take the ball out of his hands with a simple game plan.
Freeman on the other hand.... Game changer, playmaker, Big arm, Big body, Mobile, he is one year away from making the splash... He will grow and mature with Mike Williams, the WR from Illinois and Blount.... Winslow will give him atleast two good years of service...

They are on the same tier, I wouldn't want Freeman on the Jets and you don't want Sanchez on yours.
Would a Pats fan want Brady? Would a Colts fan want Manning?
No, they're both good for their respective teams. Let's just end it there.Comment

So what he might do and his big body makes him better than Sanchez....
The way Im reading this thread if the Bucs defense steps up and becomes a top 5 unit somehow that would make Freeman a worse QB.
Once again you people arguing for Freeman either need to watch an NFL game or take a debate class.Best reason to have a license.

My point is that its ridiculous to say Sanchez is "trash" yet claim Freeman is the real deal. Both are second year guys who are still finding their way, who have looked good at times and also looked pretty bad at times. The difference, is at least I know what Sanchez can do when the game is in his hands in a big spot. We know nothing about Freeman except that he had one good statictical season, which in my opinion from watching him play, was a bit of a fluke. Time will tell.
Meanwhile, Sanchez has proven himself, on the road, in two consecutive playoffs. I am not typically a "rings" or postseason is everything guy, but its part odf the equation, and people who discount it as just a team accomplishment clearly don't understand NFL football and are just as foolish as the "rings are everything" crowd.
Sanchez is battle tested in the toughest of games, Freeman isn't. Can't be argued. To me, that's why its downright stupid to trash Sanchez while praising a guy who has done nothing but put up a good TD/INT ratio in one season.Comment
