One thing about this draft I have really disagreed with the "experts" about is the rankings of Ponder and Locker. During their college careers, especially last year, I haven't seen anything special. Locker has tremendous problems with accuracy and decision making while Ponder has huge issues with arm strength. Of course, Ponder has been injured for most of the year, but that raises questions about his durability. I wonder more so about Locker than Ponder since Ponder has at least looked very good at times in his junior year and in the Senior Bowl, meanwhile Locker has always been a bull when running the ball, but at a disadvantage when throwing. It should be a very interesting year for Qbs this draft and I think if I'm an NFL coach or GM I wouldn't take either of these guys until the middle to late 2nd round at least

The runningbacks all measured kind of short in my opinion. Especially Mark Ingram

Gabe Carimi looked really bad on the OL drills losing his balance.

              Disappointed that Smith isn't competing.

Guys who keep catching my eye: Jame Carpenter, Will Rackley, Stefen Wisneiwski.

Anthony Castonzo is so smooth while Marcus Cannon and Gabe Carimi looked stiff.

Shocked to see Dontay Moch come in at 248 and Marcell Dareus having the size of nose tackle.

WHO THE FUCK IS VIRGIL GREEN?

This is a good TE draft IMO. Julius Thomas, Lance Kendricks, Kyle Rudolph (who isn't participating today), Luke Stocker and Virgil Green look like some damn good TE's.

EDIT: I'll add DJ Williams to that list as well.

Ryan Mallett did his best Ryan Leaf impression at his press conference today.

The reviews of Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett's media session are not kind. Writers comparing him to Ryan Leaf -- and not in a good way. #NFL

Freeman at the Combine: Ryan Mallett met with the media. Came across as a stone, cold punk.

Don't trust #Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett...end of story, guy rubs me the wrong way and he wouldn't be on my draft board. Period. #NFLDRAFT

Mallett on where drug rumors started: "When I saw that stuff, I laughed about it." Yeah, that's a mature response.

How do you respond to accuracy/decision-making questions: "7,000-plus yards and 60 touchdowns in two seasons. That’s how I respond to that."
                      Ryan Mallett's press conference...ouch - CBSSports.com
The Ryan Mallett press conference was one of those scenarios where everyone in the room is eventually looking at each other with wide eyes that seem to say, “Ehhhhhh…..there’s something not right about this guy”. Obviously, it’s pure speculation.

Mallett was immediately asked about the drug abuse allegations (“Wow, first question, huh?” he said.) He wouldn’t discuss it but did acknowledge that the timing of these reports was not a coincidence.

Mallett said he could throw the ball 80 yards and touted his collegiate numbers when asked one of those “prove it” questions. With proper body language, it would have been confidence speaking. But from Mallett, it unfortunately seemed more like arrogance.

All in all, the buzz around the media center is that Mallett’s content wasn’t great and his delivery was even worse. Mallett has one of those clichéd chips on his shoulder, but not the kind of chip that could one day inspire him. More like the kind of chip that makes a group of reporters decide there’s just something they don’t like about you.

                          Linebacker sizes....

How about Von Miller coming in from 237 to 246?

Nice to see Kelvin Sheppard and Nate Irving maintain their respective weights from the Senior Bowl.

I was already worried about Justin Houston being more an end than rush linebacker, but with him weighing in at 270 it concerns me even more. Same with Ryan Kerrigan. He looked stiff as hell at the Senior Bowl standing up and he comes into the Combine 10 lbs. heavier.

Aldon Smith has some of the longest arms in the defensive class. Very interested in how he works out.

Nick Fairley only came in at 291. That's a bit lighter than expected.

                          Kenrick Ellis is huge.

Ryan Mallett is undraftable, IMO. I just took him off my Big Board completely.

Really liked Houston for the Jets as a LB but 270 is huge for him. Smh
