Being a defensive back in high school, I'm way too excited to watch this part. I already planned to skip classes tomorrow to soak in every bit of the combine. Patrick Peterson and Amukamara are two great players and then you throw in Jimmy Smith, Brandon Harris, and Aaron Williams and things get good. Plus the former All-American Ras-I Dowling... and Johnny Patrick! I think this corner class is just as good as any I can remember in recent years (yes, better than last year).
We'll see if they actually put up good 40s to match their size tho!Comment

Chimdi Chekwa and Ras-I Dowling will be Raiders come April. Dowling ran 4.40 unofficial and he pulled up with five yards to go.
Brandon Harris ran well and showed great hips and hands.
Deion Sanders compared Amukamara to Vontae Davis.
Disappointed in Eric Hagg's time. I expected better from him.

While it is fun to watch these guys run the 40, it's really meaningless because it is so dependent on the start. The difference between a 4.3 and 4.4 is all in the start. And when do DBs ever start from a track stance and sprint straight forward for 40 yards?
I enjoy watching it, but I just can't understand why so much stock is put into the 40.Comment

Tailback= Debbie downer.
Your right. It's fun to see some of these guys straight line speed though.
The first 10 yards and some of the agility drills should be taken more into account though.Originally posted by Nick MangoldWes Welker is a great player. He's really taken advantage of watching film. If we don't keep a Spy on him, he could really open the Gate.Comment
