I think I'm the only Titans fan not furious with the selection of Jake Locker.
Listen, I was upset because I wanted Fairley and then to trade back in for a quarterback but after I saw Ponder came off the board at #12, I felt better about it and am okay with taking Jake at #8.
Chris Palmer is a great teacher of quarterbacks and has made Tony Romo and Eli Manning what they are today. High character, smart, tough, athletic...obviously needs work on his accuracy but Palmer will work on that. He's probably creaming at the actual weapons he has in Tennessee with CJ and Britt. And he won't have to play right away because we're picking up a veteran quarterback or keeping Kerry Collins to mentor him.
Let it play out. It was a shock at first but I'm okay with the selection. I remember being furious with the Chris Johnson selection just a few years ago and look how that turned out. Wait till they get on the field.
Lots of solid players still available. Really happy the Colts went OT this time. Got kinda crazy there for a second and entertained thoughts of Fairley dropping a little further, Indy maybe trading up.. but no dice.

Lol, he should have really turned down that invite. Gonna be sitting for a while.
Carimi a Bear. No complaints. Personally I would have begged someone to take the pick and get some more second rounders, but thats why im here and theyer there.
I can live with the Eagles' pick.
Watkins is a young 26, he's only played the game 5 or 6 years.
The Birds definitely needed to address the line.
I was hoping they'd get Costanzo, but I can live with Watkins. An interior lineman with Jon Runyan's in-game disposition. Works for me.
When the Bucs passed on Akeem Ayers and DaQuan Bowers to select Adrian Clayborn, I threw my hat across the room and uttered a few profanities... but after the first round has concluded, and Claybourn had his first radio interview on Tampa radio, I am warming up to the pick.
“I wanted to be a Buc from the start. That two-hour wait was worth it,” Clayborn said. “I just got off the phone with [Gerald] McCoy a minute ago. I’m ready.”
Clayborn said coming to One Buc Palace before the draft “was my best visit.”
He went on to say he “can’t wait to get into the playbook” and that Bucs fans will see a defensive end who gets after the quarterback and “kick offensive lineman’s asses” in the running game.
And Joe’s favorite quote, “If you’re not playing violent on the defensive line, there’s something wrong with you. Go somewhere else,” Clayborn said.

Falcons are DANGEROUS. I like the Ingram pick for New Orleans, that's great value for sure. But the Falcons are fucking dangerous now.
Oh and both teams made huge progress towards securing their places at the top of the NFC South without doing anything at all. Big ups Carolina, for taking the walking red flag known as Cam Newton.

Sounds like Clayborn has some dog in him. That's something that Gaines Adams didn't have. He shyed away from contact and didn't want to fight. Maybe this selection will work out for Tampa. I don't know how effective of a pass-rusher he will be. Maybe they play him as a LE instead of a RE???
