Wrong, The Tebow Hype started the moment he was born!:croc:

Maybe if Orton can play a full season this year he won't have to worrry about Tebow or anyone else taking his job. Or maybe in week 10 he'll find himself backing up Rex Grossman again, sipping whiskey on the sidelines...

Either way, most fans feed into it now. It's all about made-up "controversy", villification, and hype backlash. Most people want to hate some player more than they want to like a player. It's pretty pathetic, to be honest.

No made up controversy in Denver. Orton compiled a 3-10 record as a starter last year, Tebow played decent to finish off last year (giving fans hope), Orton refuses to mentor, Elway failed to trade Orton and Tebow has been terrible in camp. That's the perfect shit storm happening from the front office down... Add in the fact that Tebow is one of the most celebrated college athletes of all time and you get media attention on the national level.

I didn't mean "QB controversy", I meant anything negative that the media machine thinks they can sell.

Timmy T didn't look too bad tonight. And John Fox looked pretty happy with Tebow's performance. Man tebow looked soooooooo bad in "praaactice." However, he comes out and shows everyone why he's one of the most exciting players in the NFL!

Yeah, and Stephen McGee is the best QB and Dwayne Harris the best receiver on the Cowboys' roster, too.

              Quinn should be the #1 QB...8/14, 120yds, 1 TD.

Tebow even had an Int that was taking off because of a penalty.

It's preseason, hype died down when Orton won the job. Just like this thread will die week 1.

Brady Quinn leapfrogs Tim TebowEmailPrintComments1060Associated Press

                        Tebow Quinn

DENVER -- Brady Quinn has leapfrogged Tim Tebow, at least for one night.

Denver Broncos football chief John Elway tweeted before Denver's game against the Buffalo Bills that Quinn will follow starter Kyle Orton on Saturday night.

More than an hour before kickoff, Elway tweeted: "Looking forward to seeing our QBs tonight. Tim went in after Kyle last week, and Brady will go second tonight. All competing."

The order is not a surprise. Quinn got most of the second-team work during practice this week, and this gives them comparable data when making a final decision.

Quinn didn't play a single snap during the regular season in 2010, when Tebow was usually the No. 2 quarterback so he could spell Orton occasionally and run special plays designed to capitalize on his running abilities.

Wow Brady Quinn showed me something tonight! He looked pretty damn good vs the 2nd string. His promotion was well deserved. Tebow looked mad and distracted in the limited number of plays he got. Tebow really has to get over the fact that he's 3rd string and run the 3rd team like Quinn has. He needs to realize the only way to move up the ladder is to preform. I'm sure it really urked him today that he played garbage time, but so goes the life of the 3rd string QB.

Tebow's not accurate either...hmmm...put two & two together...and you get...
Quinn was putting some serious heat on this throws tonight. He ended up 10/16 for 130 yard with a TD and an INT.

The INT was a tipped ball as well. He might have put too much heat on the throw around the goal line, but the receiver should have caught it.
