I think it is obvious the Colts have suggestively informed their team they'd like them to lose as many games as possible. They are just plain fucking awful. Miami has been in almost every game this year and could easily be 4-4.

The Colts, they are so fucking bad, I cannot fathom that one man, Peyton Manning, can make that much of a difference on this team. Aside from the loss of Manning, the Colts have not lost that many key pieces on their team, but they still look downright nauseating every week.

Call me crazy.....but if they go 0-16 I say there is at least one person in NFL circles who anonymously calls for an investigation of throwing games so they could get the most highly touted NFL QB prospect since the one currently leading their team, in case Peyton's injury is career threatening.

They're not throwing games. That's just how good Peyton Manning actually is.

I didn't know Peyton played defense too. Is he a crucial part of Bethea, Mathis, and Freeney's souls? And thanks for telling me "that's just how good Peyton Manning is." I've never heard of him or seen his career...........

Freeney and Mathias are the only Colts playing decent-ish this year.

Manning is important to that defense since it keeps them off the damn field where they belong. And when Manning is out there dropping touchdowns with ease, it means the other team has to keep up and keep passing, allowing Freeney and Mathias to tee off on the other QB. Team's that have beat the Colts in the past decade are the ones that are able to slow down Manning to a point where they are able to get the run game going and mulch right through the Colts powderpuff run defense.

That's a nice theory, and does hold some weight, and is something announcers love to bring up about any team when they talk about time of possession during their ramblings, but there is no way that lone reasoning is why the Colts are 0-9 instead of their usual 7-2 at this time. Peyton does not have one iota of physical interaction with diagnosing, covering, reading, tackling, etc on defense...someone else is still paid to do that at an NFL level whether it is for 10 minutes a game or 30 minutes. Second, if I'm not mistaken, Manning and his offense are usually league leaders in how little time of possession is needed to score.

All I am saying is that I think the Colts players who know/want to be there long term, have packed it in long ago in hopes they do get the #1 pick. They've seen this as a throw away season so why try.

Push comes to shove, Peyton keeps them in games that they probably shouldn't be in and wouldn't be in if he isn't playing, as we have seen this year. The Colts have never been a team that wins games by holding their opponent to 10 or so points. They have always been a team that wins by simply outscoring their opponent. Without Manning on the field, they cannot do that any more, and because of it, have been exposed as the terrible team that they really are.

Is the talent level on the team around Peyton worse than it was when they won the Super Bowl? Sure. But there is no doubt in my mind that if Peyton was on the field with this same Colts team that they would be above .500 and fighting with the Texans for the division title.

whoever said it's gotten to the point it's "nauseating" hit the mark.

I want to puke watching Indianapolis play every week. this last month has been fucking stupid. I'm mad at myself for sitting through it.

                  - First month wasn't bad, they didn't win a game but they went out there and played. these last 4 weeks have been bad.

we got this shit on lock

2 games ahead of Miami and St. Louis

Bill Polian apparently said Manning will be back next year, and I wasn't 100% that we were going to draft luck anyway, so April should be interesting.

until then, however, I'll be wearing my paper bag over my head and watching this shit team try to figure out how to win a game. if they don't beat Carolina in two weeks I don't think they'll win a game this season.

After watching the Oregon game, I wouldn't be too hopeful about Luck being the ultimate answer for any team with a QB problem. He cam tear up Duke behind his massive O-Line, but he looked awful against Oregon, although the dropped passes didn't help.

Might as well just pencil him in to be a Colt now.

                        Fucking assholes.

                          He's allowed a bad game, he's a 22 year old kid.

As Hasselbeck stated in his sig, we should start focusing more on the Lay Flat for Matt campaign. The Colts have Luck in the bag at this point.

Clark Judge on Colts and Luck

Polian will be scouting at Stanford this week but insisted "it has nothing to do with any choice we've made." Yeah, sure, and if you believe that I'll sell you tickets to the Knicks this weekend.

If the Colts draft Luck, I can definitely see them and Manning parting ways.
