    The Official Free Agency Thread

    Starts at 12:01am ET.

Looks like the Giants, Eagles and Bears are the front runners for TJ...
    Per Roto world

The Eagles, Giants, and Bears have reportedly emerged as the front-runners to sign T.J. Houshmandzadeh.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that as many as eight teams could be in the hunt. At 31, there's some age risk associated with Housh, but he's earned a big contract as one of the league leaders in receptions over the past five years.

As much as I'd like to see him in Chicago,...Philly seems to be the best spot for him. I mean McNabb, westbrook and Jackson to compliment him. That offense would be sick.

I really don't think they'll spend money on an already potent offense. That defense needs work.

I really think Haynesworth will still be good after a big contract. Many are doubting him. Tampa Bay is about 61 mil under the cap while the Chiefs are 57 mil and the Eagles are 48 mil.

Reports coming out saying Marvin Harrison to Miami is a very real possibility.

There's only two things that will make this the perfect off season for me..

Kurt Warner to St. Louis or Minnesota.

                Both highly unlikely, though.

My fingers are crossed. Unfortunately, Kurt won't go anywhere, unless they offer at least 14mil per year. Arizona wouldn't quite go that high. I'm not sure if any team will offer that, forcing Kurt to retire or play for Arizona.

                    MOST
                    Tampa Bay — $61 million
                    Kansas City — $57 million
                    Philadelphia — $48 million

                    LEAST
                    Carolina — $1.9 million
                    New England — $3.2 million
                    Indianapolis — $6.6 million
                    Pittsburgh — $7.4 million
                    Washington — $8.1 million
The teams with the most and least of money to spend. With this you'll know a little more of what to expect.

The Dolphins are "believed to be" working on a deal to retain free agent CB Andre' Goodman before the 12AM deadline.

He's entering his 30+ years, but has been something of a late bloomer and is worth keeping as a nickel back. Goodman picked off five passes in 2008.

The Providence Journal reports that free agent Fred Taylor is likely to join the Patriots.

The paper believes Taylor, 33, "likely has at least three good seasons left." While that's far from likely, Taylor figures to come cheap and will be a candidate for significant early-down carries in New England. It appears he's choosing Bill Belichick's club over Dick Jauron's. Not exactly a tough one.

The Ravens have reportedly offered free agent Ray Lewis a three-year, $24 million contract with $17 million guaranteed.

It's a plenty fair offer for the 34-year-old, but Lewis still thinks he's worth more. He wants $10 million a year. Meanwhile, Baltimore has reportedly proposed to give Bart Scott $7 million annually. With the free agency period just minutes away, it appears both are poised to enter the market.

The Lions are "very interested" in free agent CB Bryant McFadden, according to the National Football Post.

McFadden didn't get much exposure in Pittsburgh, but he is the premier corner on the market. He's almost certainly not going to be a Steeler in 2009.

They also have interest in WR Nate Washington.

Free agent CB Domonique Foxworth is reportedly on the Ravens' radar.

Signing Foxworth, 26, would likely allow Baltimore to part with aging Samari Rolle. Foxworth could move right into the lineup opposite Fabian Washington.
