I'm fully expecting another loss today Humble, the team is in free fall and this isn't going to get better.

If RGIII continues to struggle, I would definitely pull him for Cousins.

It wasn't close to the Packers/Seattle game last year with that call, but the officials made a horrible call with the third down late in the game that played a huge part in us losing. That kind of confusion is unacceptable.

dont know what happened there, TT

        very bad call
        But
Fred Davis (3rd down) and Garcon (4th down) both dropped big pass, regardless of call.

        anyway;
        its time for the offseason.........

it will be interesting to see what happens between now and next season with players
3rd & 14, inside your own 15, up 6, 3:20min left to go = call a PA Pass and Cancel. *its Legit, so no needless complaining

i still dont think this all RGIII.......
          but
i dont think they sit him for entire game to get Cousins in.

I don't think it is all RGIII either but he's got to learn how to lead. Giving him a bench seat for a bit would see how he reacts to that and if he becomes a leader or if he pouts on the bench.

I didn't think we needed it, but we need some reliable hands. Based off of all of the other needs we have, that's lower on the priority list but that was an embarrassing end to the game all around.

The NFL said that Sunday night's officiating crew should have stopped play and eliminated confusion about the down and distance at the end of the New York Giants' 24-17 victory at Washington.

Ref crew should face the downgrade that they were talking about last season. Completely unacceptable gaffe, but it's still not as bad as the GB/SEA call last season.

Do the Redskins try and trade Cousins this offseason? Maybe get something similar to what Matt Schaub got 2x2nd rounders, or demand a 1st and another pick.

Put him in week 17 and cross your fingers for a Matt Flynn type game

I think it depends on Shanahan's future. If Shanahan is back for next season, they will more than likely keep Cousins, as they really like having that quality backup and he and RGIII get along great. If another coach is brought in and they want to acquire more draft choices, then they likely look to trade Cousins.

if Shanahan goes, then its all over. the idea of RGIII being the franchise QB will be gone too.......
Redskins and Snyder are in a catch 22. look really dumb by throwing that all away
                      OR
stick with Shany and RGIII, and go Do or Die.

the whole idea was to bank on the future of the trades for RGIII and Shany, molding a solid Franchise QB.
thinking that this season was about, be a pocket passer 1st, then look to run out of pocket.......

                      anyway;
if a team offers a 1st rounder for Cousins......take it. we need a 1st rounder next year.
bring Pat White back and its settled.

You may be right about RGIII moving forward if Shanahan is not retained. However, I would think Snyder and Allen would know that they've invested quite a bit in RGIII, and that their next hire would be someone who has innovative ideas with how to build the team around RGIII, and someone younger who can relate to him better. That honestly would be the best move I think.

ASHBURN, Va. -- London Fletcher wanted to see how his body felt last offseason before making his decision. This year, it'll be his mind that matters most.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Fletcher is done following the year. That will hopefully make a tough decision into one we don't have to make. I would love Fletcher back next year, but not as a starter, and I don't think he would take well to that.

Humble, I think the Shanahan clock is ticking right now. Snyder and Allen were reportedly at Redskins Park late last night running through what their options were.

I'm thinking they will let Shanahan go if he doesn't want the rest of his money, so he can start pursuing other jobs, likely Houston. As far as an interim HC, I can't imagine it's Kyle or Jim Haslett, as both will be gone next season. The only options I can think of that could still be here are Chris Forster or Raheem Morris.

                              .
On Dec. 8, 1940, only a day shy of one full year before the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Washington Redskins suffered the franchise’s own notorious day of infamy, losing the NFL championship game to the Chicago Bears by a remarkable 73-0 score. Exactly 40 years later, on Sunday, the club absorbed another ignominious defeat, falling behind the Kansas City Chiefs 31-0 before dropping a dismal 45-10 decision.

No denying it’s terribly inappropriate to compare the Skins’ two historic loses to what transpired in the Hawaiian Islands on Dec. 7, 1941, and we’re not suggesting there is any kind of approximation of the events. So hold the comments and e-mails, please, because we acknowledge that. One, after all, led to World War II. The others were just losses in football games, hardly comparable in the real-world, big-picture view. In viewing the 2013 Redskins, however, the big picture is mostly ugly.

And the future employment of coach Mike Shanahan certainly is murky.

                              At best.

With the way it looks in Washington, owner Daniel Snyder will soon be hiring his fifth head coach since buying the team.

its just lots of media hype after that ridiculously embarassing loss to the Chiefs........
media thinking that somebody's head has to roll.
i will believe when i see

the same way i believe RGIII was gonna start on opening day.
