Tanard Jackson has been conditionally reinstated by the NFL. He will take physical, & team 'might give him a chance' to earn spot - Per Bruce Allen on Redskins twitter.

Also states Redskins will be drafting BPA instead of for need.

he hasnt played a full season or at all, in like 3 years. it would be a special circumstance if they keep him and can still be able to contribute to the game

I am all for giving him a shot, as Morris worked with him in Tampa but I am not expecting him to contribute, much less make the roster. For that to happen, he's had to have kept himself in stellar condition just to be on the field, and that's not counting erosion of skill either. One benefit that could motivate Jackson is that this is it, after all he's been through I can't see any other team taking a chance on him.

Nevermind, seems that we released him this afternoon.

Another Jackson update- he was brought back under a new contract, which includes less guaranteed money and less overall money. I still don't see him making the active roster after being out of the game for so long, but if Jackson is motivated, anything could happen.

Are any of you guys expecting the Redskins to trade up into the first round? I think with us going BPA that scenario is unlikely, and I think we would be best suited to listen to offers for the second round pick. I am sure some talent will be falling, and if we get a good enough offer with later picks, we would have to listen.

Top players available at positions of need. No clue why the Post included RB on list of needs, I figured with Morris, Helu and Royster things are pretty well set. Disappointed Ward went to the Broncos, would have been perfect if he fell to us.

              Offensive tackle:
              Cyrus Kouandjio (Alabama)
              Morgan Moses (Virginia)

I have a hard time believing that Houston will not take a QB. If we truly are going BPA (and throw out QBs, because I doubt they looked at the top guys) then Marquis Lee has to be at the top of the board. I certainly wouldn't mind teaming him with Jackson and Garcon. I realize it's far from a need, but to get a first round talent that fell that far is great value and somewhat makes up for not having a first rounder.

I would have mixed feelings about this considering we just spent money on Andre Roberts and brought back Santana Moss. However I would love to see marquise lee with Garcon and Jackson. That would be an explosive WR corps. I have a feeling with teddy off the board, Houston might trade back with a team that wants to grab Lee.

Hoping we bring in one of these two:

                    Cyrus Kouandjio (Alabama)
                    Morgan Moses (Virginia)

Sometimes I wish the draft was before free agency. I think drafting younger guys to fill needs first makes a whole lot more sense than signing free agents, but that's just me.

If we do draft Lee, that would mean that we likely end up using Roberts more as a return guy, which I don't mind. Another first round talent, Louis Nix, is also on the board still as well.

Did not expect Hageman or Nix to both be on the board. Would LOVE to get a real NT. I also think Justin Ellis could be good, but I'm a little wary of the Baker/Neild comparisons.

I also think this draft is pretty deep in offensive linemen and we could get a competitor at RT in the third round. Or even the late second round if they wanted to trade back.

Not a good draft. Actually, I would say a pretty terrible draft.

Huge reach on Murphy. Not saying he isn't worth drafting, but he could have been that second 3rd rounder.

I hate the Moses pick. Even in the 3rd round, he isn't a tackle. He struggled at RT at UVA. He faced minimal pass rushers his last season and did pretty well at LT.

Spencer's a nice pick, but that pretty much means Moses has to stick at tackle.

Meanwhile, they did nothing to get a NT, despite Nix being on the board. They did nothing to bolster their shitty secondary.
