If that quote is true, all I can say is wow. Looks like Snyder still hasn't gotten all the way out of decision-making, and we could very well see McNabb under center when the season starts.

I wonder how quickly this makes the rounds, and what the response from Snyder, Shanahan and Fletcher will be.

I hope McNabb is under center. He'd be a fool to turn down the money all because of the wristban

He won't turn down the money, its whether or not Mike and Kyle Shanahan want him. From their actions towards McNabb this season, it appears they don't and I don't expect McNabb under center this year, and its a shame.

No one expects him to be under center this year which brings me to start believing all the rumblings in the papers that he may actually still be there.

If McNabb is not under center and they are starting Beck like they talked about, then we are folding in the season and hoping to land Luck with the number one pick.

Donovan McNabb reportedly refused to wear a wristband after he struggled to remember plays last season.
Coach Mike Shanahan pressed for the wristband, but McNabb declined because it would have been "bad for his image." McNabb has been one of the most image-conscious athletes of his generation, and he was concerned that the wristband would project the image that he couldn't learn Shanahan's offense. Owner Daniel Snyder was reportedly "pissed" at Shanahan for his inability to enforce the wristband. There's zero chance that McNabb will play for the Redskins in 2011

According to research by CSN Washington, no quarterback of John Beck's age and experience level has broken out as an effective NFL starter since at least 1980.
Beck turns 30 in August, and he has just four NFL starts under his belt. Jeff Garcia comes closest to Beck, but he had 10 NFL starts and four years with the Calgary Stampeders before breaking out at age 30. Eleven other QBs since 1980 have had their first 3,000-yard season after age 30, but they all had at least 16 starts before their breakout. That list includes luminaries such as Steve Young, Rich Gannon, Doug Flutie, and Phil Simms.

The Washington Post wouldn't be surprised if the Redskins bring in competition for K Graham Gano in training camp.
The Skins face a similar dilemma to the Cowboys with David Buehler. Kickoff returners averaged just 19.0 yards per against Gano, the second-lowest mark in the league. It was the opposite story on field goals, though, as Gano's 68.6 conversion rate was four percentage points lower than any other kicker.

Coach Mike Shanahan indicated that fifth-rounder DeJon Gomes will start his NFL career at free safety.
Gomes played both safety spots in addition to cornerback and linebacker at Nebraska. "He does have the ability to play nickel, play inside [at strong safety], as a linebacker," said Shanahan. "He's a very smart, heady player." Gomes will have to hone his special teams skills to get on the field as a rookie

Citing a team source close to the situation, CSN Washington is refuting a report that Donovan McNabb refused to wear a wristband to help remember plays last season.
The source claims McNabb was never even asked to wear the wristband. The "Sports Junkies," one of the best radio teams in the country, cited three separate sources in the original report. The subsequent team denial was predictable and fully expected, as the wristband story made both McNabb and coach Mike Shanahan look foolish. Eagles beat writer Jeff McLane noted that McNabb refused to don a wristband in Philly, insisting it caused problems with his passing even though QBs wear them on their non-throwing arms

NFL Network's Steve Wyche suggests Philadelphia as a possible landing spot for Albert Haynesworth.
Wyche's colleague, Albert Breer, suggested the same marriage a few months ago. While the Eagles can't help but have serious reservations about Haynesworth's character, those may be eased by new line coach Jim Washburn. Haynesworth flourished under Washburn during his Titans days. Other teams connected to Haynesworth have been the Broncos and Lions, although the latter possibility became remote when Nick Fairley fell to No. 13 in the draft

Geoff Mosher of the Wilmington News Journal believes Donovan McNabb's career is "spiraling toward its end" this offseason.
Mosher covered McNabb with the Eagles, and he now believes all signs are pointing to the end. "Perhaps there is no worse sign for McNabb," Mosher writes, "than the fact that the Vikings, coached by former Eagles assistant Leslie Frazier, almost tore a biceps tendon reaching for Christian Ponder at 12th overall." McNabb is going to demand big money and a clear-cut starting job wherever he goes. He's going to have a hard time finding a team willing to make that commitment considering his age, ego, and 2010 game film.

Now, I would have agreed with this until the reports were saying that Daniel Snyder was pissed. If he somehow reverts to form, then McNabb stays the starting quarterback of this team.

Regardless, John Beck looks to be the starter. I would rather go with him to see what he can provide than Rex Grossman. Still, I think the Redskins could make a move for another quarterback other than Grossman to push Beck. Either way, as I've said before, this is a rebuilding year, and the Redskins will likely take a quarterback next season.

If the Eagles have hired Washburn, they could very well assume the risk, whether it is a trade or the Redskins waive/release him.

NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora suggests the Raiders, Seahawks, Redskins, and Bears as potential landing spots for Chad Ochocinco this summer.
LaCanfora is connecting dots as opposed to reporting. Raiders coach Hue Jackson was Ocho's early-career position coach. The Seahawks gave serious consideration to Brandon Marshall and Terrell Owens last season and still need a true No. 1. The Redskins tried to deal for Ochocinco a few years ago. The Bears could use a bigger go-to receiver, but Ocho no longer fits that description.

Redskins SS LaRon Landry was "90 percent" recovered from February wrist surgery and a late-season Achilles injury by the end of March.
Landry ended up undergoing shockwave therapy and platelet rich plasma therapy to aid the healing process. He's expected to be ready for training camp, where he'll begin working closer to the line of scrimmage with O.J. Atogwe on board as the free safety.

John Beck is expected to enter training camp as the Redskins' starting quarterback, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
"It will be his job to lose," said Schefter, who is tight with coach Mike Shanahan after the two collaborated on a book in the late '90s. Per Schefter, the Redskins bypassed QBs in the draft because they believe Beck is better than most of the group that was available in the middle of the first round. Beck doesn't have a touchdown to show for his four NFL starts. He completed 27-of-48 passes (56.2 percent) for 300 yards (6.2 YPA) with a 2:2 TD-to-INT ratio against backups in last year's preseason. Former Dolphins coach Cam Cameron has given up on Beck twice now, which leaves Shanahan as the 30-year-old's lone backer

WOW Miami gave up and him. Kyle knows his shit.
