Schefter is saying Bears can sign both V. Jackson and Williams.

I want to spend money, but long term contracts to those two won't solve much.

My gut feeling given what's transpired in the last 48 hours is that Mario stays in Houston, somehow, someway.

I have nothing to base that on, just a feeling.

substitute gut feeling with an "unnamed league source" reference and you have nearly every Schefter and LaCanfora report for the last 2 months.

          lol

It's true in most cases, but usually there are guys who actually know what they're talking about just because of their connections. Schefty and LaCanfora are usually (but not always) pretty good at it.

The hard part is knowing who's actually connected to who. And that's a lot of BS to sort through.

Source: Saints Sign Colston to 5-Year Deal

Wide receiver Marques Colston reached a five-year deal worth around $40 million to stay with the New Orleans Saints.

Talk about a last minute deal...and also, fuck. I was hoping we would make a push for his services, even after signing Moss.

A lot of people had eyes on Colston. While not explosive downfield, he can certainly move the chains and is a tough player. For a team like Washington who has a couple deep threats, he would have complemented them extremely well. Good move by the Saints, though I have to think Carl Nicks is going to be somewhere else.

Great move by the Saints. I was expecting there to be a line of suitors for him, but the Saints got the job done.

Was there really a good fit for him outside of New Orleans? He's got a lot of injury history and he's not what I consider a top WR but he fills a hole in the Saints offense.

lol @ the blatant tampering by the Buffalo Bills with Mario Williams.

But they won't lose any cap space over it.
