Provided Alabama wins this Saturday, Michigan will have lost to the number 1, 2, and 3 teams in the country this year.... all on the road.

        Posting this here as well.

I decided to go through all of the BCS conferences out-of-conference schedules. Every OOC game has been completed except for one (Nicholls State vs Oregon State*). I divided the results into three categories. Total record, FBS record, and BCS record. Notre Dame games are included into the BCS Record as well as the other two categories. The results are below.

        Total Record:

        Big 12 - 26-4 (86.66%)
        SEC - 48-8 (85.71%)
        Big Ten - 34-14 (70.83%)
        Pac-12 - 25-11 (69.44%)
        Big East - 25-11 (69.44%)
        ACC - 27-21 (56.25%)

        FBS Record:

        Big East - 17-10 (62.96%)
        ACC - 14-21 (40.00%)

I don't know the specific rules, but its possible that the MAC champion (NIU or Kent) will finish ranked in the top 16, thus making them eligible for a BCS bowl game, which is kind of crazy.

The ACC is a complete mess. I think if Georgia Tech loses to FSU (highly likely), then they won't even be bowl eligible.

Yeah, if Kent wins then they're pretty much in and will be Orange Bowl bound.

And they might give GT a waiver for a bowl...I heard last week before the games that they were still eight teams short of filling all bowl slots and I haven't looked to see if they filled that or not yet.

Your weekly reminder that the Kent State Golden Flashes lost to Kentucky, who was winless in the SEC, by 34 points. They did beat potential Big East champion Rutgers, though.

Here's an update on Georgia Tech's status:

Georgia Tech, like UCLA last year, has applied for an NCAA waiver should it lose to Florida State in Saturday's ACC title game to finish 6-7. As of this writing, that had not yet been granted. If the Jackets are eligible, they can fall no farther than the Sun Bowl in the ACC's lineup.

Also looking like LSU will be sent to Atlanta to play Clemson in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl. I'll be obligated to go to that game since I'm flying down there a few days earlier anyway, but it is definitely a disappointing landing spot for what is probably one of the 5 best teams in the country.

Was that the SECs best OOC win this year? I remember Auburn beating LA-Monroe, though, too. Its a tossup.

Ya'll some bammas for hatin on Kent State. They'll win their BCS bowl game.

I'm hoping for Georgia to beat Bama, and then beat ND in the title game. That would give OSU the best case for a split national championship.

                              OSU ain't splittin' shit.

BTW, the above is not a comment intended to say that I think ND will beat the SEC winner.
