I'm gonna book mark that post.
Former Patriots' Star Aaron Hernandez charged with murder

Maybe i'm way off base. I guess every team has starting caliber TE's buried on the depth chart.Comment
-
It's tight end. Whoever they put out there already is going to have a size advantage over their defender. So they don't get all the YAC that Gronk and Hernandez get. Who cares. As long as your TE proves to be a reliable security blanket you are in good shape.Comment
-
Where is the rest of their offense gonna come from? They lack depth at wide receiver and are now gonna miss out on Gronk and Hernandez.Comment
-
So they lose out on a few big plays a game. Tom Brady is able to lead a consistent enough attack that can move the ball down field. I'm not even a Patriots fan but to immediately write them off over the loss of a tight end is ridiculousComment
-
What i'm saying, is these other TE's are good players, and the drop off won't be as dramatic as it would be if the Pats were scrambling to replace these guys from the waiver wire.
The Pats are super deep at TE. That's all i'm saying. Jeez.Comment

From Rotoworld -
Aaron Hernandez lined up as a wide receiver on 59 percent of his snaps last season.
Those expecting Jake Ballard to simply slide right into Hernandez's role are going to be disappointed. Even before his devastating knee injury, he was a lumbering in-line tight end. Ballard is not capable of playing 41 percent of his snaps in the slot and 18 out wide like Hernandez did. The more logical replacement for A-Hern's production is Julian Edelman. Ballard's chance will come if Rob Gronkowski (back surgery) starts the year on reserve/PUP.
Well I guess that answers that. I thought maybe he was the same type of TE Hernandez was when I saw he was averaging 16 yards a catch.
Patriots better get better production out of rookie WR's this season than they have in seasons past.Comment

Good to know the extent of your analsysis consists of glancing quickly at a yards per catch figure then reading a blurb on Rotoworld.Comment

I don't know how anyone can say with a straight face that the Patriots offense doesn't have some SERIOUS question marks right now.
Welker - Gone
Hernandez - Gone
Gronk - Who the hell knows when he will come back
Lloyd - Gone
Woodhead - Gone
Those were your Top 5 reception guys in 2012.
Danny Amendola is nice when healthy (huge question mark there) but outside of him their other "big" additions in FA on offense were Tim Tebow, Michael Jenkins and Leon Washington. This btw is the same team that was absolutely awful defending the pass just a season ago - and only added Adrian Wilson to help that porous secondary.
I think the Patriots are in trouble.Originally posted by ram29jacksonI already said months ago that Seattle wasn't winning any SBComment

At least their division is terrible. Unless the Dolphins break out I can't see them not at least winning the east.

Let me repeat myself. Perhaps I wasn't clear.
The Pats are deep at the TE position.
That is all. Thanks.Comment

You should concede you haven't heard of football players more often though, especially around draft time.

Yes I read Rotoworld to learn more about players and teams I don't know things about.
And seeing as I've said I didn't know a whole lot of players from the draft this past year I'd say I did do that.
Anything else you'd like to know?Comment

When they get to the playoffs though...having Gronk will make'em or break'em.Comment
