IMO, Minnesota may be the best landing spot for Freeman. Ponder sucks, Cassel sucks ... and Minnesota might give Freeman a chance to revisit better days. Other than the O co-ordinator, I can't understand why Oakland may have wanted to replace Terrelle Pryor. I say give Pryor a chance, don't throw him under the boat by signing Freeman. If Pryor sucks the rest of the season, ok, drop him. But right now he looks good, stick with him and see if it works. My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

Oakland signing Freeman, especially with their current offensive co-ordinator, sends all the wrong signals to Pryor. Why the Raiders even showed interest is just stupid, IMO. Go with Pryor and if he fails, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Bringing Freeman into the mix right now sends a moronic mixed message, to me.My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

Beyond that, if Prior is too fragile to handle the team trying to upgrade the depth chart, then he might not be the right man for the job to begin with.
Besides, who is to say bringing in some comp won't light a fire under him? Everyone is motivated differently.Comment

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't see Matt Flynn being that bad in that game he played. I agree, he's still Pryor's backup, but he passed for over 60% and didn't throw 5 INTs. OK, they lost the game. OK, he isn't a game-breaker, but as games go, that wasn't the worst game from a QB I've ever seen. Frankly, I never seen a coach throw a guy under the bus like Allen did with Flynn. My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

You bring Prior into a room, you tell him he's the unquestioned starting QB of the football team, and explain that Freeman is a significant upgrade to the overall depth of the position.
