They heard 'substance abuse' and Freemans way.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

    "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

IMO, Minnesota may be the best landing spot for Freeman. Ponder sucks, Cassel sucks ... and Minnesota might give Freeman a chance to revisit better days. Other than the O co-ordinator, I can't understand why Oakland may have wanted to replace Terrelle Pryor. I say give Pryor a chance, don't throw him under the boat by signing Freeman. If Pryor sucks the rest of the season, ok, drop him. But right now he looks good, stick with him and see if it works.

I thought they were going after Freeman to backup Pryor? I don't see the Raiders pulling Pryor at all this season.

Oakland signing Freeman, especially with their current offensive co-ordinator, sends all the wrong signals to Pryor. Why the Raiders even showed interest is just stupid, IMO. Go with Pryor and if he fails, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Bringing Freeman into the mix right now sends a moronic mixed message, to me.

The Bay Area is much friendlier to the homos than Minnesota. I'm surprised he didn't choose to sign there.

I can see where you're coming from but I think it's a poor sign when Matt McGloin beats out Tyler Wilson and now Matt Flynn as the #2. Hopefully Pryor stays healthy from here on out or we'll be #fucked.

You bring Prior into a room, you tell him he's the unquestioned starting QB of the football team, and explain that Freeman is a significant upgrade to the overall depth of the position.

Beyond that, if Prior is too fragile to handle the team trying to upgrade the depth chart, then he might not be the right man for the job to begin with.

Besides, who is to say bringing in some comp won't light a fire under him? Everyone is motivated differently.

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't see Matt Flynn being that bad in that game he played. I agree, he's still Pryor's backup, but he passed for over 60% and didn't throw 5 INTs. OK, they lost the game. OK, he isn't a game-breaker, but as games go, that wasn't the worst game from a QB I've ever seen. Frankly, I never seen a coach throw a guy under the bus like Allen did with Flynn.

He lead the offense to 1 td and threw a pick 6. He was pretty bad. If Pryor was in the Raiders beat the Redskins.
