he's a friend of Rome's and an accomplished writer/comedian,actor with a national show. So what if certain entertainment mediums are repetitive? its the biz. I respect him and like his over all personality and some of his body of work.

its more tolerable that that Rome-whats your take- crap from callers

Almost all sports broadcasters are pure and utter shit. There are a few good guys in there pretty much designed to keep the clowns somewhat on the right track. Who did Andrews kick back to in the Fox studio? I'm assuming it was a handful of retarded former player clowns right?

On that note, it must suck to be a woman in sports broadcasting. You pretty much get to the top (national network) and find yourself pinned to the sideline for inane interviews with a pretty small set of possible answers, all generic and not worth listening to. And your air time is limited to about 30 seconds sandwiched between the "experts" joking around.

how is that a bad thing ? you got hired for your looks and make lots of money for doing really unimportant crap in short spurts.

I prefer that to men's college football and basketball games hiring females to do play by play which happens far too often now.

What's the problem with this? If they can do the job, they can do the job. It's not 1957 get this sexist shit outta here, chief.

This is along the lines of what I was thinking. These sideline reports are interviewing people on basic, mundane, and in the end irrelevant stuff. This isn't exactly Nixon in '77 where we need someone to grill them with hard hitting questions.

it doesn't have crap to do with sexism. Its preference pure and simple. I watch men's sports to be in a man's world. I don't want to hear a deep, butchy female voice doing play by play for a man's game. Go do the girl college basketball games where you belong.

I don't care if they can do the job, I just don't want to hear it

This entire thread is sexist. Sherman acted like a mental case, but somehow it's being spun as Andrews fault. If that was Sal Pal or Jim Gray holding the mic, this thread doesn't exist.

critical thought you have not. I didn't say no one can do what they want. I said I don't like hearing it.
